Vanilla Custard Cream Squares-Easy Dessert Recipe
These Old Fashioned Five Star Bars are a classic treat with layers of graham cracker crumbs, coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, and sweetened condensed milk. They're incredibly delicious and perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter. 2 cups graham cracker crumbs. 1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut. 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. 1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips. 1 cup chopped nuts e.g., walnuts or pecans. 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Melt the butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish in a preheated oven. After taking the dish out of the oven, evenly scatter the melted butter with the graham cracker crumbs. On top of the graham cracker crumbs, arrange the chopped nuts, semisweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and shredded coconut. Evenly distribute the sweetened condensed milk throughout the whole mixture by pouring it over it. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the bars are set and the edges are golden brown. Let the bars cool completely on a wire rack inside the baking dish. Cut into squares or bars after they've cooled. Savor the nostalgic Five-Star Bars!
