Sweeva Surf Party

This morning I attended my first Sweeva Surf Party for a short time.

The guys at TimTech have started to hold them again as a huge part of the Season 3 of CTP Teams. I had no idea of what happens at a Sweeva Surf Party but knew enough to understand that I should be involved and have my sites seen (which they were not and I will share with you why).

This is how I set it up for the win:

Set your Twitter account in Sweeva.

Begin browsing (Sweeving)

Tweet a site (this will force you to authorize Sweeva at Twitter)

Once authorized:

Change your Twitter account in Sweeva to your site's Twitter

From now on when your site is Tweeted your site will be mentioned.

Any time you Tweet a Sweeva site it will be sent to your followers instead of your site's followers.

This is a good way to do it if you like to Tweet and don't want your followers spammed with mention reports (people following your site tweets will get these notifications instead)

To reverse these settings simply revoke Sweeva access (in your Twitter account under applications) and Tweet another site - after your site Twitter is authorized switch your Sweeva settings to your Twitter account.  From now on when you click Tweet it will be sent to folks who follow your site Tweets and when Sweeva browsers Tweet your site (to their followers) you will be mentioned instead.
