It cuts to the Endministrator laying on a bed with roses.
Endministrator: “Wait, what?”
You: “Let’s go mining!”
It immediately cuts to the two of you in the Originium mines. You mined away without a care in the world while Endministrator was just standing there, baffled at how things came to this.
❥︎ not proof-read; fluff; possible errors and ooc; gender-neutral reader; established relationship; late halloween special; inspired off that one fgo okita comic where she tries to spook master by putting on a blanket and act like a little cute ghost; there goes my writing streaks, once again ww; still needa progress through Amphoreus aaack; reader looks like a little medjed; reader is the master in Kondo's part; written before Phantom Alter/Tragodia EN release(and Act or Die event release so take note of any possible spoiler, in case!); might consider a part two with few more characters (initially had two more but alas, there's an image limit. I'll think about continuing it. (◡ ω ◡))

It's finally Halloween! The season of trick-and-treats, ghostly frights, pumpking carving, chilly vibes and scare-athon has come once again.
You sat on a chair in your room, boredly waiting the time away as you stared at the window to your side, your eyes darting over to the outside world beyond it, and you would watch, as you saw kids clad in their halloween costumes hop around in merriment while carrying their little pumpkin-carved baskets by their handles, filled with candies and chocolates they have received by kind passersby and from doors they have knocked on.
You hummed to yourself, elbows leaning over the windowsill, as you meet the gentle blow of the wind brush at your skin. It was quiet, not until a certain idea came to your mind—
Why don't you spook your beloved as a little ghost?
A look of mischief gets written all over your face. Your lips curve up to a smirk and your eyes glinted with mirth, as you rose to your feet, scrambled to the cabinets to take out a clean piece of white blanket. Yes, this is perfect. You'll just get it washed later, as you then decide to doodle ghostly eyes and mouth on it with a marker. You marveled at your creation, right before peeking out the door, scanning your surroundings. You'll wait behind your corner, right until your beloved would walk by.
Hearing the gentle creak of the door, followed by the clicking of shoes and footsteps, you sensed someone was walking by, and caught a brief glimpse of your beloved as they had arrived at your shared space, placing their coat onto the racks at the side. Perfect timing.
You slip on the blanket, letting it cover you from head to your legs, showing only your ankles and feet. You were snuggly covered in it, as you waited in lay, until he finally reached your corner and—
"Boo!"
You hopped out from where you hid, imitating a ghostly sound as you blocked his way. Now, how does he react?

✿︎☾︎ 𝐊𝐲𝐫𝐲𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐬
❥︎ Before he even reached your corner, Flins had already heard the light shuffling of sheet and the light giggling that emanated just nearby. Flins is not one to ruin the fun, even if he may have caught you already from afar.
❥︎ When you jumped out with the attempt to adorably spook him, Flins stills in his place, smile curving up his lips, after a small gasp escapes past his lips to humor your cuteness— er, spookiness.
❥︎ "Ah, my love, you've certainly surprised me...with your adorable ghostly form, I must say." He would comment, eyes scanning you from head to toe, taking note of how smaller you appeared in front of him, almost like a little chibi. He could never not be fond of you, in such a state.
❥︎ As you waved your hands, and is just about to pry the blanket up to have a better look at Flins, he nimbly takes the initiative and reached for the soft fabric with his gloved hands, lifts it up as if he were lifting the veil of his bride, locks eyes with you with his smile still present on his lips.
❥︎ He leans down, and as if to match your spooky cuteness, before you could even react, you felt the soft brush of his lips against yours and the world stops for a moment or two. Flins closes his eyes, wraps his arms around your waist as you slowly eased into his affection after your momentary shock at his affectionate reaction as he deepened the kiss— which was sweeter than any candy.
❥︎ When he pulls away, his face still lingered inches from yours, and rather than marvel at a ghost— he marveled at his beloved, whose makeshift costume slowly slipped off of their head. Oh, how the tables have turned. No matter what you do, this beloved Fae of yours will always find a way to outspook your affections ♡
❥︎ At seeing you pop out of nowhere, clad in the makeshift ghost attire, Varka does look slightly taken aback, taking a step back before wrapping his arms around you mid-hop, causing you to land not on your feet, but on the blonde knight instead, who recomposed himself to form a cheerful smile on his face.
❥︎ "Whoa there, darling! Dressing up to match the spooky vibes of the season, are you?" He'd muse, holding you and then up into his arms, cradling you like a marshmallow. Varka had just returned from a mission that he took his knights out with him for, so having you surprise him in such a way eased the weariness in his heart, replaced with warmth.
❥︎ As if feeling you pout beneath the blanket sheet, Varka chuckled aloud, his face of mirth before deciding to spook you in return, but in a form of affection. He presses his face against the fabric, and uses his free hand to trace over your head, and finding your cheek, he props your head to face his direction and he leans forward for a sweet kiss on your lips, right exactly on it, even with the cover of the white sheet separating you both from direct contact.
❥︎ When he pulls back a bit, he clutched you even tighter and effortlessly against his chest, still up in his arms with no hassle, feeling immense affection with a grin on his lips as he could imagine you heating up beneath the cover.
❥︎ "Heh, I can only imagine the sparks of pink covering your cheeks right now, love. Spooked your sweet heart now, didn't I?" He mused aloud, before pressing his scarred cheek up against your still-covered head, nuzzling you like a pillow rather than a ghost.
❥︎ At that, he walks away, back to your shared room, still holding you close, with glee etched in his features. You're up for one cuddly night, you can already tell.
❥︎ Wriothesley is perceptive. But also is the kind to humor the flow of a plan hatched, that which he catches wind of— like your small giggles behind the corner of the room instantly gave the idea of a surprise waiting for him. The Duke remained unmoved however, played along, suppressing the slight smirk that has appeared on his lips. With a click of his boots, he makes his way forward.
❥︎ And when you popped out with that cute little 'boo', Wriothesley raises one eyebrow, now unable to suppress a smile. Now, that's indeed quite the pleasant surprise for the only person capable of pouring buckets of childish cuteness and getting away with it, unscathed.
❥︎ "What do we have here? Playing ghost for Halloween, love?" He remarks, eyeing you up and down, suppressing his urge to let out a chuckle when he thought how you looked like a child in such a state.
❥︎ Reaching out his arms, Wriothesley then pulls you closer and up against him after he wraps his arms around you, letting you feel his warmth even through the cloth.
❥︎ "You know, you can easily be arrested for adorably sneaking up on an unsuspecting person." Wriothesley teases and he feels you pout beneath the cover, and thus, he slowly snuck his way down to the edges of the blanket, pulling it up bit by bit as if he were opening a carefully decorated package.
❥︎ At seeing your flustered face, he lets the blanket slip off of your head, as your eyes locked on to each other, with Wriothesley leaning ever so closely, just inches away from your lips, with a softened expression on his face, and in just a split second, he steals a kiss off your lips— perhaps as a fine to how you spooked him for today.
❥︎ Phainon innocently called you out from the door, the moment he got home, in his enthusiastic tone as if he were some dog that had been waiting for his owner's return instead of the other way around. His work took quite awhile to accomplish, and the entire time, he could not think of anything else but to return to your warm embrace for the night.
❥︎ His boots tapped lightly on the floor, as he approached in calm strides, reached your corner, not noticing anything out of the ordinary within the comfort of you two's shared space, that is until— you hopped out of nowhere, arms raised to the front for a 'frightening look' as you led out a cute ghostly shriek.
❥︎ Phainon looked surprised, stumbled slightly before chuckling aloud, raising a hand to the back of his head, scratching it as tints of pink appeared on his cheeks. Well, now that's quite adorable rather than a spooky surprise. It reminded him that it was the Halloween season.
❥︎ "Haha, starlight, I must admit you surprised me there a little bit!" He exclaims, before turning to look back at you, still smiling, his heart fluttering as Phainon watched you marvel at your own victory just beneath the covers. He took one good look at your doodle, finding your jumpscare attempt all the more adorable.
❥︎ "Quite the setup that you have here, love. I suppose, I see this more as a treat rather than a trick." He comments, his eyes gleaming with newfound joy before it was his turn to pick you up in his arms as if you were some cat, draped the blanket off of you and in a slow motion, as the blanket remained afloat midair for several seconds, blurring out the light that seeped through the windows, you saw his blue eyes shimmer with great fondness.
❥︎ He leans in, and you closed your eyes as you relented for a reciprocated treat on the lips in the form of a sweet kiss. A romantic scene that mutually sent palpitations to your heart.
❥︎ Afternoons make the General feel the most drowsy. He walked through the courtyards of his home, having snuck himself away from his Secretaries' eyes to return back home for a good rest to take his mind off the piles of work to do on his desk. Jing Yuan walked in graceful motions, feeling the soft breeze of the afternoon air and of the birds who greeted him off the trees with light chirpings of their own.
❥︎ He walked around for a bit, yawning here and there before making his routinely afternoon visit to your shared home, to check on his beloved whom he's always found himself more than eager to be with, all the time while away at work. You're usually at home during this hour. It won't be so bad to reinvigorate his energy just by seeing his Sweetheart on a daily basis, off the mornings and evenings.
❥︎ He walked through the front door, steps inside, and in calm strides, scanned his surroundings and that's when he picks up the distant sound of giggles. Jing Yuan's ears perk up with interest at the sound, and he sped up his movements a bit, following the source that led to a corner of a wall.
❥︎ It was dead quiet not until— hop! And there came the adorable ghostly shriek that came out of the ghost-dressed figure in front of him. Jing Yuan paused, raising his eyebrows at the sight, before his lips curve up to an amused smile and his drowsy eyes soon were relit to light with amusement. Now that just made his afternoon already eventful.
❥︎ "Ah, quite the adorably fearsome ghost we have here. Already expecting me at this hour, I see. You've certainly filled my weary heart with energy, my dear." Jing Yuan comments, face still in amusement, all the while he marveled at the victorious face that albeit covered by a sheet of white, he could imagine the grin and blush plastered over your face. He had known and has been with you for a long time already to be able to memorize your beauty that he found himself admiring, most of the time.
❥︎ Reaching out, Jing Yuan snuck a hand beneath the white sheet, takes your hand and leads you along down the hallways, reached your shared room, carried you up in his arms as if you were some princess, as he then sets you down on the bed, and he follows shortly after, gently drapes off the blanket that was draped over your face, easing it out as if he were draping away the red veil of a bride on a wedding night. Then, he lays both himself and you down, with the same said blanket tucking you both in comfortably for a nice cuddle.
❥︎ Jing Yuan could just get used, indeed, for afternoons like this one. You gave him quite the trick, and in turn, you earned yourself a special treat from the beloved General.
❥︎ Ever since Sunday had boarded the Astral Express, his days are nothing short of eventful. From his days that he's usually only spent in quietness, turned into one of the merry group works. He's not complaining, however. He learned to see the joys that companionship and of venturing out into the universe has to offer.
❥︎ Sunday looked rather relaxed for the moment, sighing in relief as he clutched at his back after a day of work with some of the other Crew members, stepped into his shared living space with yours. He looked rather peaceful, ethereal even. Had you had no cover on, you would've stepped back to simply admire this beautiful angel— that is, your boyfriend.
❥︎ Sunday slowly approached the corner, not noticing anything out of the ordinary. You waited, taking his shadow and footsteps as a clue, and right exactly on time— you bounced out from where you hid, shrieked an adorable ghostly sound which caused for the Halovian to actually gasp aloud, taken aback with his small wings stiffening in place at the sight of the little ghost that have come to surprise him.
❥︎ Sunday slowly composes himself, his wings covering the lower half of his face in a bashful manner, covering up his flustered cheeks all the while his heart beat in tandem of your strings of giggles at his reaction, even though you could not see his current expression, you can imagine it well in your mind.
❥︎ "A-Ah, dearest... You've... certainly caught me off-guard. I must say, you did a good job scaring me." Sunday comments softly upon recomposing himself as his small wings fluttered back at the sides, straightened himself up before marveling at your adorable ghostly figure. He smiled even at focusing on the doodle of an attempt for a ghostly face.
❥︎ When you had started taking the blanket off of your face, Sunday reached his own hands out, interrupted your movements and turned to take it off himself, with his softened look in full view before he then carefully draped it over your shoulders, as if to keep you warm from your own chills that you have emanated before he leans down, his free hand clutching at his heart, to give you a soft kiss on the forehead.
❥︎ The piles of work that he has finished for the day, has left Logos feeling rather weary in the heart. Such are the duties that he must face as an Elite Operator, for Rhodes Island. There were his responsibilities too, as the Banshee Prince/Lord, that still finds a way to take up bits of his time in his own desk here.
❥︎ Logos walked by the merry hops of Operators and staffs alike, and of the children who giggled down the hallways, carrying baskets of treats— that even Logos himself played a part into filling, when they have come to ask for some treats. His heart feels moved alone at the sight of such merry gathering during this season. Still, his soul yearned for the comfort of his other half— you.
❥︎ He passed along the hallways that led to the dormitories and over to his shared space with his lover. You. He comes in, comfortably removes his Rhodes Island coat as the auras of the incantations emanated from it as the owner parts with it momentarily, steps inside, hands raised to remove his gloves before heading in further. He hears the light ruffling of fabric, just near where he is, causing his ears to perk up at the sound.
❥︎ He turns the corner, careful in his steps and there— he steps aback, blinking, surprised as he sees your ghostly figure hop out from where you hid and mustered a 'boo', in imitation of a howling ghost, in front of the young Banshee Lord. He was rendered speechless for a moment or two, until his lips curve to a smile, and he tilts his head away charmingly, able to blind someone with light should they stare at his ethereal expression at the moment, thanks to his beloved who did little as to spook him for fun but sent great palpitations his way in the name of love.
❥︎ "Dearest, you've certainly...gave me quite the fright, I must admit." Logos softly commented, his eyes trailing over your figure all the while you marveled at your own victory with how your hands swayed in merry movements. A sight that he took delight in watching. You always could get a reaction out of him, which he did not mind one bit. He feels alive whenever he basks in your warm presence.
❥︎ To match your playfulness however, Logos does recover himself, stepped closer with a click on the floor, reached his hands out in a careful manner, moved the blanket not to remove it but surprised you when he instead lifted it up and draped it over himself— stuffing him inside the covers with you, covering both of your figures regardless of height, and the next thing you felt, in a slow blurring motion was his lips on yours.
❥︎ Lucian is not usually one to entertain the normal motions of human life. For most of his life in the past, he had mostly been content to stay within the limelights of the shadows, and be part of the swallowing tides of darkness. But after his transition into a new person, as Tragodia, he has come to accept integration within society in slow but fulfilling steps. And that includes, acknowledging your love to its entirety, with little doubt nor reservation about whether he truly is deserving to be the object of your affections.
❥︎ Lucian still lingers betwixt the darkness he once thought himself to be a puzzle piece of, and of the newfound light in his days in the form of acceptance and interactions aboard the Rhodes Island Landship. He remained reluctant, yet, he does not take another step back. He picked up this new mantle to be the successor to the Tragodia name, with the promise of freedom and spring— a large contradiction to the life that he once possessed, when he was still within the confines of the Crimson Troupe. He is in the process of learning how to love— but he is already showing all that he's learned, in the days you remained by his side.
❥︎ Lucian had just returned from an off-R.I duty, his coat trailing from behind him, only to find himself first greeted by the sights of merry children, hopping around, baskets in hand, filled with treats and of the Operators and staff around that greeted one another the dawn of the spooky holiday spirit. It was one of those days again, he thought to himself. Halloween. A season for myths and for the departed.
❥︎ He made his way into his shared space with you, his beloved. During his absence, Lucian did make sure to exchange letters here and there with you to ensure that you stay updated with what goes on with his life so far, away from you. He gently opens the door, steps inside with care as Miss Christine then hops off his shoulder, her twin-tails swishing side by side, purring as she wanders off to who knows where. Whereas, he, with great care, took off his cloak for a more comfortable pacing in mobility, and stepped in, letting the warm lights in the room envelop his figure. He no longer feels so blinded to the spotlights, compared to before, though, with all that has happened in his life— his heart did turn weary but comparably relaxed unlike before.
❥︎ That is, until, he was about to turn a corner, only to lean backwards in surprise when you hopped up, clad only in that white blanket sheet, with an adorable doodle of a ghostly face with your hands posed for a frightening stance. Lucian's eyes were wide, in surprise, that all strings of previous thought had dissipated into nothingness at the sight of you. Yes, who else would it be, but you? He can already tell. Within the confines of his mind that are haunted by illusions of his past— you alone remained with a form of clarity. He looked speechless, stunned even that he is still registering a response within his mind.
❥︎ Then, his lips slowly curves up into a small smile. Your jumpscare certainly did relit the flames of his mind and heart, to radiate positive recollections rather than of negativity. "My starlight... You certainly do have the airs of the Halloween season in you. I must say... You make a fine actor for a ghost. Even you surprised me." He tells you, making comments as if he were a scripwriter who offered encouraging remarks about your masterpiece, to which you responded with quite the prideful pose that caused his smile to grow larger. He's completely changed.
❥︎ Hearing you giggle were like melodies to his ears, one he'd consider even finer than his own singing voice. Lucian recovers, steps closer towards you, with his spirits lifted, thanks to your spooky welcome, he reaches for the edges of your white cloak, pulls it up carefully, and drapes it around your shoulders instead with a tie to the front securing it as a makeshift coat. Then, to your surprise, Lucian, out of nowhere, responds in kind to your spooky act with a romantic one of his own. He positions both yours and his body in the posture for a dance of waltz, held your hands, and you're instantly whisked away to a small magical dance, as his response to your welcome. Lucian has flipped the script. A well disguised trick in the form of a treat. Now that he has found his will of change and life— he will show you, the depths of his feelings, for you.
❥︎ Life in Chaldea, for Kondo, is largely a different experience compared to his past life. He had once lived through an era of war and bloodshed, with little room for the mundane joys in life that only the commonfolk can afford as a form of luxury. The Commander is no cold person, he is too warm, even, for the old world where only the fittest may survive. When he had met his end, he passed with lingering regrets and of the thought that even if he may have died, bearing still the dignity of the Commander of the Shinsengumi, he thought to have found himself unworthy of any form of love for the failures that he has committed in his life. But it's with you, and with the reunion of himself and his comrades that Kondo found himself more willing to accept life once again, with honor restored and willingness to accept the turns of affection that you and everyone else would give him.
❥︎ Kondo amused himself with the traditions of the Halloween season, with the sights of the child servants running around to all they'd encounter, asking for a trick or treat. He had great curiosity for the new world, and so delighted himself with observations, gifting of a candy or two to the kids who came by and even would surprise some of his unsuspecting comrades like Heisuke with a treat or two, in the form of a candy. It's not like Heisuke can turn him away with that innocent smile on Kondo's face, anyways.
❥︎ Late into the evening, after much wandering around amongst his fellow servants in the spirits of the spooky holiday, Kondō had not seen you the entire day due to your duties out, though he hoped that he'd be seeing you once he arrives back into his shared room with yours. You had him move in, after months of relationship with him, enough to be considered as close to let him stay as your beloved companion in the same living space.
❥︎ "Master, are you inside?" Kondo spoke aloud in a gentle tone, his long hair trailing behind him, as he announced his arrival with question of your whereabouts. He steps inside, with careful strides. The same smile remained on his face, as he stepped closer to the corner from where you were hidden.
❥︎ Little by Little, when you felt his presence draw closer, reaching the corner, you jumped out, with a cute imitation of a ghostly shriek which did make Kondo stumble backwards slightly with a low gasp, faltering in his steps momentarily before recovering himself in a split second as per his training, and took a better look at your figure. He blinked, until a chuckle slipped past his lips in great amusement.
❥︎ "Master— or should I refer to you now... My dearest, you certainly do look adorable in your gab. Ah, but of course, give yourself credit for successfully making me falter in my steps." Kondo remarks, a smile plastered over his lips, watching as you make your victory pose. He recalled back to another servant whom he had conversed with, earlier, on the topic of Halloween out of Kondo's great curiosity into learning about the present holiday spirits. You always manage to find a way to reach his heart with such gleeful motions. There's the concept of trick or treat, whom he found the most attractive when he had heard of it. Perhaps, it won't be so bad to apply what he's learned now.
❥︎ Hearing you giggle beneath that cover of yours prompted the Shinsengumi Commander to lean down, nimbly move his hands over to the fabric, tugged it upwards and an easeful motion, he lets it flutter upwards, towering above the two of you like a thin sheet of cloud. As your eyes dart upwards, observing the cloud, Kondo leans in as if he were a caretaker of this particular sunflower right in front of him, pulled in by the beams of sunshine, in a blurry slow-mode motion, he leans in and gives you a kiss on the lips, his hand cupping your cheeks as if nuzzling at the soft petals of a flower all the while the white blanket fluttered towards the side, falling with grace with a thud, but not before momentarily giving the imagery of two lovers sharing a kiss behind a book in a library of memories.
Seeing the lack of arknights Endfield men x reader content and I'm literally begging for more of them but not many writers here seem to be into Arknights Endfield that I could request to
Could you possibly write a ardashir x reader👉👈 where it's like the reader is a yearner for ardashir but is very aware that ardashir yearns for the endministrator so she's pretty contented with just being by his side but then maybe something happens??? Like without thinking he gets super protective or possesive over reader but he's not aware of it yet🙂↕️🙂↕️🙂↕️
A KIND OF LOVE
The cutest prompt I've received. I love this.
Ardashir x gn! reader (fluff for the most part, barely angst)
Short fic
He's unaware of how much you love him, and for such an observant person, you were surprised he didn't catch on to that. It's not like you were being obvious about your feelings, but... you were kinda hoping it at least crossed his mind so you wouldn't have to spell it out for him.
The things he does for you? It makes your heart hurt even more, is he just playing with your feelings? You wouldn't put it past him if that was the case.
But, then again, he seemed like he cared. His words were filled with love.
"You look like this flower." Tucking the freshly plucked plant behind your ear.
So was he truly unaware?
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to see endmin? I want to go with you next time."
You know he doesnt dislike you.
Actually, that's what makes it hurt.
He'd insist on accompanying you during dangerous operations with some practical excuse that sounds reasonable until it happens for the tenth time.
He clearly cares.
He remembers things you say.
"I know you get cold this time of year, so take my jacket. Please."
If somebody jokingly flirts with you, he'd feel irritation immediately and then spend the next hour trying to figure out why he was being irrational.
He worries. He seeks you out. He trusts you so much.
.
But then the Endministrator walks into the room, and you sees that look in his eyes. The one that makes it obvious where his heart naturally drifts.
So you settles into being his companion, his confidant, the person who stays beside him through everything.
Maybe it was you who needed to learn the look in his eyes.
Because his body does drift to edmin, his eyes do stay focused on them. But, it's the almost the same when looking at you.
He looks deeper into your eyes, his body drifts a closer to you.
Sure he looks at endmin with admiration, but he looks at you with lidded eyes, passion.
And Ardashir, completely oblivious, keeps growing more protective until other people start noticing before he does. Even before you do it seems.
You thought you had it all figured out, turns out feelings are a lot more complicated than that.
He feels the need to protect you, it was something he knew was love. But, why do you look at him like that? Why do you look at him differently then the other people you've said you love?... Is there different kinds of love?
It clicks.
loneliness follows Ardashir wherever he goes. a shadow he refuses to acknowledge. But you were there, a companion that made him smile. Maybe a little harder than you both realized.
That flower, still tucked behind your ear, the strands of your hair still laying behind your ear the way his fingers made them sit. Then he moved closer, touching a petal.
"Ardashir, are you listening?"
Then drifting to the stem.
"Ardashir...?"
His hand was cupping your ear now. Finally parting his lips to speak.
"Sorry, the next stop right?"
You lost your train of thought, you knew he wasnt listening so why bother continuing. Your just staring at him now to see what he was planning.
He freezes before his lips are on yours.
Why does he want to do this so bad? Your lips are so nice. Would any others' lips feel this good? No, that doesn't feel right. He doesn't care what others feel like. He wants to gently press his lips on yours, so lightly it's barely considered a kis.
.
"Ardasher-"
He pulled away. "Ahh... I'm sorry I don't know what came over me." Then a scoff, he looked back at your face. "'Bout time." A silence, "what?" You reached to grab his hand that was slipping from your ear. "You kept me waiting."
Pet names I think some of the characters from Endfield would call their partners
Catcher
I have a feeling he’d often use more Spanish petnames, like dulzura (sweetness), cariño (dear), corazón (heart), or Tesoro (treasure). He prefers names in his native language, he finds them more personal and natural to him.
If he’s been away from his partner for a longer time, he might throw in a possessive “mi” in there. Not because he’s jealous or doesn’t trust his partner, but because he likes the emotional connection of affirming your partnership. He just likes feeling close, especially if he’s been gone a while.
Wulfgard
He doesn’t feel the type to use very many petnames, but if he did, he might use ones in Italian a lot like how catcher uses petnames in Spanish. Cucciola/cucciolo is puppy/cub, but means more along the lines of honey/sweetheart. He also seems the type to use caro mio/cara mio, meaning dear. Very rarely, he might call you la mia luna, meaning my moon.
He’s more likely to just call you by your name or a nickname you tell him you like. He finds intimacy in identity. He just loves your name.
Antal
He tends to come up with really weird or out there pet names. He called you “firebuckle” once, completely straight faced and people couldn’t figure out if it was one of his attempts at a bad joke at first. Glowbug is one he uses a good bit, and if you asked why, it’s “because you’re bright and eye catching.”
It’s not that he’s completely avoidant of more traditional pet names, but he’s always been one to experiment and try to draw reactions out of people. If you seem to like one of his more out there ones, he mentally bookmarks it and it joins the rotation.
He does like my dear a lot. And dove, he has an entire detailed explanation as to why, but it can be simplified to him finding you to be a source of peace and comfort, like doves are in imagery.
Pogranichnik
He uses very traditional pet names. For him, there’s elegance in the simple my love, my dear, my heart, beloved, darling, and dearest. He demands the utmost respect for you from himself and those around him, and he will not dare let himself refer to you with anything less than devotion.
He’s just as likely to use a more regal Russian pet names. One he’s found particular fondness of is zólotse, meaning my gold. He also finds umnitsa one of his more common ones, meaning clever. Lyubov moya (my love) and zvezda moya (my star) are also ones he’s used. Very elegant, classic, and gentle.
Fluorite
She likes more basic ones like babe, baby, cutie, hot stuff, doll, and sweetheart. But her favorite is hun. She couldn’t really tell you why, she just likes the way it rolls off the tongue. Plus, “it’s sweet like you, so it works.” She’s not someone who sees a point in needlessly complicating something as basic as terms of endearment. It’s just not that deep to her.
She calls you “mine” though sometimes. She likes feeling like she truly gets to have things, and so you being with her matters a lot. She takes pride in that and likes to remind you of your relationship.
Arclight
For her, pet names are a bit weird. She’s more used to code names and the Hannabit Circuit tends to call members by their title and name, like Aldertone Orisha. At Endfield, its operator code names, like Perlica. She’s not used to calling people petnames, so it’s nothing personal if she doesn’t use them for a good bit. She might start calling you love or beloved, since to her they’re a bit like a title or rank.
It takes her a while to get comfortable even with that, but as she slowly gets more used to petnames and similar, she might tear out ones like my song or my muse. She’s still likely going to call you by your name, since she just prefers names, but one she’s found that she likes is my tempo. It’s a little more out there, but to her you are the steady beat guiding her steps and song.
The room is dim, lit only by the thin amber line of a desk lamp. Paper sleeps where it fell. The world outside has paused its teeth.
Pogranichnik notices the moment her breathing changes—when work finally loosens its grip and sleep takes her by surprise. Her head tilts, just slightly, chin dipping toward her collarbone. He doesn’t move right away. He waits. Always waits. As if rushing might fracture something fragile.
Then—
one step closer.
The coat comes off his shoulders without a sound. Heavy fabric, folded once in his hands, then laid over her with care. He adjusts it millimeter by millimeter, making sure it doesn’t slip, making sure the warmth stays where it should. His knuckles brush her sleeve by accident.
He freezes.
She doesn’t stir.
Only then does he let himself exhale.
A strand of hair has fallen into her face, dark against her cheek. It wasn’t there before. He hesitates—this is unnecessary, he tells himself. There are rules for battlefields. None for this.
Still… his fingers lift.
He doesn’t tuck it back right away. He lets it slide once, slowly, between gloved fingers, feeling its softness through fabric meant for steel and frost. The touch is barely there. More permission than contact.
His gaze lingers. Not sharp. Not assessing. Just… staying.
Someone opens the door. He furrows his brow.
“Keep quiet.”
The word lands flat and cold, a blade laid on stone.
“Someone is resting.”
The door closes again. The noise retreats. Order restored.
When he turns back, his expression changes—not dramatically, not visibly, but enough that the air softens around him. He crouches beside her chair, lowering himself so they’re level. His glove comes off. Bare fingers this time.
He brushes her cheek. Once. Light as snowfall. As if checking whether she’s real, or something the night invented to test his restraint.
“You’re exhausted,” he murmurs—to no one, or maybe to himself.
His thumb stills at the corner of her jaw, then withdraws. He doesn’t take more than that. He never does.
“Rest assured,” he says quietly, voice worn smooth by promise.
“We have a battlefield up ahead.”
He straightens. Puts the glove back on. Returns to stillness.
From this point on, nothing reaches her unless it goes through him first.

You didn’t know when exactly it started.
Was it when you were collecting those buckflowers near the power plateau for medicine or was it when you sneaked into the landbreaker’s hideout to steal their weapons?
Or was it when you first even stepped foot in the valley? But it couldn’t be that long ago, right?
Heaving a sigh, you shook your head once to silence your overthinking thoughts while you trudged back to your hideout with the new supplies in hand. Living out here in the wild was already tough as it is, so rationally, you shouldn’t be complaining about how nature’s chain of events had been benefitting you.
At least, that’s what you’ve been trying to convince yourself of. Although deep down, you already knew, this wasn’t some form of natural cause.
How could it be—when every time you walked through a landbreaker camp, they almost always drop dead before even noticing your presence?
How could it be—when every hostile animal that came too close ends up a carcass with the pool of their blood seeping out from their chest?
And how could it be—when every dead corpse on your feet had those same flutter of red blood-like bats scurrying away after leaving them behind?
“…Again…?” You sighed heavily, that anxiousness growing from the pit of your stomach. Crouching down, you inspected the wolf carcass before you, before dragging your knife to slowly cut open the meat for collection. Stuffing the small pieces in your leather bag, you winced as the foul stench of rotting meat filled your senses. “At least some parts haven’t decayed yet.”
It has been almost a month since you’ve had fresh meat for consumption, ever since animals always came out dead whenever you went out to hunt. The ones alive weren’t much help either, bolting away as soon as you tried closing the distance as if their instincts screamed for flight.
This wasn’t always this way, though. The chain of events even almost deluded you into thinking you’d evolved into a scary beast or something, but whenever you checked your mirror?
You looked just fine, your body built like normal. Still that same sweet face, though expression morphing slowly from confusion to anxiously terrified as time went on.
Cute.
Those bloodshot red pairs of eyes stared from afar, taking note of how her lips formed a deep frown from her restless thinking. Probably overthinking every gift he’d left for her. He couldn’t help it, she was someone needing of protection. Or so he decided on his own.
Ever since that day he rested on top of a building after a tiring mission and accidentally noticed that defenceless girl struggling against a mere wolf?
He couldn’t stop himself. He was the Sarkaz Keeper of Seš'qa, and grew up with talent for the blood arts. The little strength this girl had with the makeshift weapon in her hand paled in comparison to his own arsenal of power. He usually never steps out to fight if Seš'qa doesn’t call for it, but he also couldn’t just watch this girl get eaten alive by the wolf already tackling her down on the ground.
He told himself, “Just this once.” as he sent a blood bat to penetrate the wolf’s skin, assimilating with its blood and killing it from the inside.
And that was it, he saved the girl from getting her head torn off and flew away from the scene. Back to their own separate lives, without even needing to introduce himself. He had always preferred to work alone, after all.
But fate had its own cruel joke—he kept crossing paths with this strange girl, always scavenging for whatever food in the wild she needed, with that useless blade in her grip. A blade is just decoration without proper training.
So again, and again, he told himself, “Just this once.”
“One more time.”
“Again.”
Until he himself didn’t realise when he started following this girl around—having to keep her out of trouble as he started to see all these potential dangers around her. Even a harmless longear wasn’t spared if it even tried to jump near her hideout.
He convinced himself of things.
These longears are going to steal her food, and she’ll starve.
These wolves are going to kill her at night when she sleeps.
And trust that he wouldn’t even let a single landbreaker come close to ever touching a strand of your hair.
The killings were necessary.
For the time left he had before returning to Seš'qa, he could spare some to do this girl a favour. That was weeks ago, but he could afford to delay a few more days.
What’s a few days difference, right?
Now, here you were, eyes wide in alarm while scanning your surroundings as you dragged your legs to return home. The leather bag with the cut meat slung to your hip as you treaded carefully across the forest, now eerily silent, devoid of living creatures willing to linger.
Every step you took, somehow, you felt the burning sensation of being watched. It raised the goosebumps on your skin and a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, but you swallowed your worries, letting out a small exhale as you blamed paranoia.
“…Calm down, (Y/n)…” You whispered to yourself, hoping to convince your inner thoughts. A free hand pressed to your chest. “You’re fine. Everything’s fine. It must just be the UWST members hunting and getting rid of threat…”
Even though your instincts screamed that something wasn’t right, you refused to acknowledge whatever being was haunting you. If only you could find someone out here that could help you—surely you’ll be able to find a plausible explanation for all the events happening around you.
And right before turning the usual path towards your humble hut, you swore you heard the rustle of leaves nearby. Gasping, you whipped your head behind, only to see nothing except the looming trees along the path. Your eyes squinted as your heart beat fast, turning on your heel to bolt back home—only to bump on a chest, as you fell back on the ground.
“Ugh!” Pulling your scraped hands away from the ground, you lift your gaze up to see curious eyes staring down at you. It was what you were searching for, a UWST member!
“Miss? I’m sorry, are you okay?” He bent down and offered a hand, an apologetic frown on his lips. He raised a brow in curiosity. It wasn’t everyday that he sees people out here in the wilds that weren’t part of Endfield or UWST. “I’m Marko, from UWST. What are you doing out here?”
Your eyes lit up with relief. ‘Finally! Someone that can help!’
Blood splattered over your cheeks, as you were met with the face of a man meeting death far too early. His eyes rolled back, skin turning blue as a lance made of solid blood pierced through his neck and bone by one swoop. He fell to his knees, gravity pulling him forwards to slump towards you.
Screaming, you crawled back as fast as you can, legs kicking forward. Your hopes were crushed instantly, replaced with pure terror as you stare wide-eyed at the towering shadow behind the corpse. You were stunned in fear and your body betrayed you with that pathetic trembling, voice barely able to leave your throat as you were finally laid bare in his presence.
A blood red wing spread out on one side of his slim frame, and those stern eyes a dangerous glint of crimson. He didn’t say anything at first, accessing your reaction. It was the first time he actually showed himself to you after all. A part of him knew it’d overwhelm you.
“There’s no need to be afraid.” He said, as the wing retracted back to his back, disappearing as fast as it appeared. The tang of iron filled your senses—plus the rapid beating of your heart out of sheer terror didn’t help lessen the panic filling your bones. “I dislike killing innocents, but he was getting a bit too close to you.”
‘I need to run!’ Your adrenaline spiked, sending flight signals to your body, but for some reason—your body was frozen in fear. It was the way you couldn’t break eye contact with him, because something gnawed at you knew that if you moved now, you’d anger him.
‘(Y/n), please—move!’ You scolded yourself internally, chest heaving from fast shallow breathing, fingers digging into your thighs to try and break your frozen state.
That did it, the jolt of pain snapped your senses awake. You inhaled sharply before standing on your feet in an instant—turning to bolt away from danger, caring not for the pouch you left behind.
“It’s dangerous that way.” You heard him call out calmly from behind, before you saw a swerve of red pass right by your side, and he stood in front of you. You gasped as you staggered back—to which, he reached fast to grasp both of your wrists with an iron-clad grip. He stared you down, taking in that flushed face from exertion and fear. His eyes soften a mere fraction when he saw the pure terror in your gaze, but he had to do what he had to do. His grip tightened, before he leaned in and projected his words, explaining his twisted point of view. “That man could be trying to take advantage of you. I merely disposed of the risk.”
Your heart sank at his words—it might as well be a confession of his sins at this point. A telling of everything that had been happening to you leading up to this moment. Your voice hoarse and raw, as you questioned him, now started to connect pieces of the puzzle.
“Dispose…of risk…?” Your gaze flickered to the blood staining his clothes, fresh from that innocent man slain in cold blood. “H-He….He was a UWST member, and he was trying to help me! How is that a threat?!”
Camille’s eyes darken at that. Squeezing your wrists a bit more tightly in warning as he mumbled sternly, “You don’t know that.”
You ignored the pain shooting up your arm, wincing before smacking your forehead against his hard enough that he was staggered back slightly. The fierce glare of a fighter burning in your eyes. “You don’t know that he was a danger either!”
“I was protecting you! He wanted to touch you, a visible threat.” Camille frustratedly barked back, getting worked up now that his vision didn’t come to plan. He had thought you’d be thankful for all the help he gave willingly all this time. Wasn’t that what weak creatures always needed?
Your fear and sadness morphed into anger—now directed to him, the reason of all those dead bodies constantly appearing before you. You had always been a free spirit. A fighter, who chooses to persist even when the hunt was difficult, even when there was danger involved in your landbreaker heists.
He’s taking that freedom away from you.
“Let…go of me!” You thrashed in his grasp, leg shooting out to kick his ankle and break the constraint he had on your wrist. To no avail, he only held you tighter, keeping one hand to bind your wrists while the other wrapped around your waist to pull you flush against him. That bloodshot glare tore through your resolve the longer he held you in place—a show of dominance that he was indeed, stronger than you.
Alas in nature, the weak are forever prey to the strong.
“You’re shortsighted. Someone frail like you needs protection to live.” He started, squeezing your waist painfully, just to prove his point. “Even now, you’re helpless against me.”
You grit your teeth, biting back your tongue from replying with a snarky remark. The ache you felt in your wrists were evident, as he tightened his hold on you, almost cutting off the blood flow from your fingertips. He noticed the uncomfortable pain you felt when you were unable to even focus your vision at him properly, hazed by your own tears and anger.
He loosened his hold just slightly for you to breathe easier but still tight enough to keep you bound to him. He himself wasn’t aware of the little soft spot he had developed for you—unable to bear seeing you in pain.
Sighing, he leaned his forehead against yours— gaze softening and those red hues returned to his neutral greyish blue eyes. “…Will you listen to me…?” His voice was softer and hesitant, almost pleading. Seeking to gain your approval. “I’ll keep you safe.”
Your lips form a confused and frustrated frown upon seeing how his personality shifted. Even so, your rage wasn’t quelled just because he suddenly softened his voice. Shaking your head, you tried prying your hands away from his grasp to no avail. Instead, it only served to snap him back into alarm, crushing your wrists into that bone-crushing grip again—his eyes glowing that bloodshot red as he scowled, his emotions clouding his rationale.
“Don’t be stubborn, no one but me can protect you!”
“Ugh—I don’t need it!”
The more you squirmed, the tighter he held to the point that you had to bite down on your own lower lip hard to try and not scream, tears stung your eyelids as pain shot through your body.
“You’re making it harder for the both of us.” He murmured darkly, completely going haywire in his paranoia and obsessive insistence. The hand he had around your waist snaked higher, before he leaned in—pressing his nose to your neck, breathing in your scent. The fear, the anger, he took them all in.
“I’ve observed you. Clumsy. All over the place. Pathetically scavenging scraps for food.”
His lips part to lightly graze his teeth on the sweet plush skin, fangs gliding over tantalisingly. It was cool to the touch—yet all you could feel was that sickening twist in your stomach.
“Don’t worry, (Y/n). I’m here now.” He whispered, sweet if not for how you don’t even know his name.
You know nothing of this stranger.
But for him, ensuring you lived another day was enough. And he’ll stop at nothing to ensure it.
-He loves you day in and day out, no matter who you are or what you are. He loves you for you
-Whenever you need something, you’re free to ask him. You don’t need to use up anything you have when you have him
-He spends whatever he has with you when he’s free: cuddles, cooking together, watching movies, etc. Whatever you want, he’s willing to do it with you
-Had a bad day? Go to him and he’ll listen. He’s your lover, your beloved; he can’t bear to see you so upset and frustrated without offering his shoulder for you to cry on.
-No matter how jealous and possessive he gets from you interacting with other men, he’ll never let that jeopardize the loving relationship you two have. When you’re free, he sits down and talks to you about what he feels, hoping you understand and reassure him that you love only him.
-At times when it’s especially too much for him to handle, he would cry and babble about his insecurity as you wrap your arms around him, reassurances whispered in his ear as you hug him and rub his back
-Speaking of crying, he feels very safe and comfortable with you. He knows he’s free to cry, to show all his flaws and insecurities, and act like a normal person with you without judgment
-Others may dislike him, he may be envied, be treated as nothing more than dirt on the ground, but he has you. You’re the only one who treats him like a person, like a living being who has basic rights.
-For that, he devotes himself to you. You’re the only person who’s treated him with kindness and respect. Compared to the entirety of the world, you’re the only one whose opinion matters to him
