See, I like pools, I love pools. I just don’t love pool maintenance. I’m glad our complex has one that they keep in great condition :D. I’m excited to see your swimsuits, I love Marimekko’s designs.
I may not take pics in them, depending on how they fit. Almost all of the plus-size one-piece suits were sold out/unavailable, and there was only one review, which said it ran small. :-/ I’m cautiously optimistic about the two-piece, especially since the top has a clasp and isn’t a pullover. (I had a dressing room mishap with a 2X Danskin pullover sports bra at Walmart; I had to enlist Husband Assist to get the damn thing off) I’ve only seen 2 blog reviews of the Marimekko line, and both were by people who usually wear an XS, but had to size up to a Small.
Every time I go swimsuit shopping, though, I remember a Cathy comic strip. Cathy’s in the dressing room, and the saleswoman is touting all the stretch/compression/etc features of the suit. She triumphantly starts, “It’s not just a swimsuit...” Cathy opens the dressing room door, torso about a quarter of her usual size, looking extremely stressed, and finishes the statement, “It’s a corset!” (though from what I’ve since learned about corsets, a proper corset would probably be more comfortable than that swimsuit)
