mara wasn’t running. she wasn’t a person who ran, even with the mess with --- skywalker & solo & the hell that was sure to follow it. she was still in new republic territory, wasn’t she ? & force knew it was harder to hide here than the outskirts of the galaxy she had learned to call home. riosa wasn’t the bright center of the galaxy, but it sure was close enough to catch a hint of the shine of it.

she hadn’t settled in much, but she knew enough to pinpoint the local trouble, to see who they were coming for. & she had no reason to care about this guy, but --- “you’ve been bringing supplies to repair the comms, yeah ? “ she approached, hands carefully still at her side.

Her home planet. It had been so long since she had been here. Always finding her way around missions that would possibly bring her near or to it's surface. Always wanting to avoid anything that brought her home. She loved her parents and wanted to stay in contact with them but she also feared wanting to return home and leave behind the life that the Force had laid out for her. That she had chosen the path to follow upon. A small smile crosses her features then, simple. Shy. A bit timid. She's here on business, of course, even if that wasn't exactly true, it's what she had to tell herself just for Kylia to get off her own ship or else she'd just get back in the pilot seat and fly away again. Leaving it in the dust and never looking back unless she had to. However, she made a promise and here she was, heading for the small café they had agreed to meet at. Lando had promised to help her. Promised he'd help her find her parents, make sure they were okay and that her mother was alive and breathing and for that, she was beyond grateful. She owed him and she knew that. Whatever he asked, she would quite possibly give it to him, depending on just what it was. She takes a seat at a small table, ordering a coffee as she waits, keeping her gaze upon the door for him to walk through, her nerves growing the longer she waits.

This party had done its job to draw in more familiar faces than Sabine had expected (some more welcome than others). Still, the warmth running through their body kept her from doing anything to trouble old foes. It was a party, and the Mandalorian was sure everyone was in need of a good time right now. Who cares if they had slighted her in the past? Now was a time for good music, good food, and good drinks.

Turning a gilded corner, they noticed the smirk of someone she hadn’t seen in years. They considered ducking away, but it was too late. The figure had already spotted her and waved them over.

“Lando. Can’t say I’m surprised to see you here. This is kind of your scene, isn’t it?”

    There's a pause and she gives a simple shake of her head just then. There's a moment a when she thinks back to what adventures they had gone through. The life threatening things they had been in and helped each other survive. He had helped her in many things and continued to do so and she had nothing more than thanks to offer him, which, honestly felt underwhelming in terms of what he's done for her. "No." She admits. "No, I don't believe so." There's a small smile upon her features as she takes a step toward him. "In fact, you like like the kind of man to laugh at death in the face and most should aspire to be as such like you."

Lando: *Walking in to a room* Sorry I’m late... I was... doing things. *Sounds of running footsteps progressively getting louder* Del: *Out of breath* THEY PUSHED ME DOWN THE FUCKIN’ STAIRS.

Chest heaves and falls with each breath Del draws into lungs. The once made old wounds festering in a small amount of pain blossoming from his body, but he ignores them. Hair disheveled, gaze trained on Lando before switching to the others in the room. "Here I thought we were in a jest of a race, wasn't expecting to get shoved down them." He half laughs, wanting the joke to be prominent even if it hadn't been one of such. What was Iden going to think of him now? Allowing Lando to get away with such a thing.

Cassian steps into the café, a quiet atmosphere but people seemed to hold to their conversations with a silent tone of manner. Still, he finds it rather comforting to be here. To take a seat in a table in the back corner as they await their companion. Cassian has instructed K2 to wait outside, to wander around and to explore as they kept an eye on the door, drink ordered and small smile upon their face. Lando had been someone that Cassian had only met a few times, a man that was quite skilled and someone that Cassian happened to look up to in the ways of seduction and suave nature. "Ah, Lando!" He greets the other, standing from the table to motion him back to where they're sitting. "Thanks for meeting me, would you care to order a drink?"

Gaze shifts, looking up from the spot on the ground that had suddenly interested her during their conversation. She shakes her head just then, a small laugh leaves her a little there. Not quite sure how to react but wanting to say something. Anything. Her gaze settles upon his, chin tilted upward ever so slightly. She had never really noticed how breathtaking his eyes were until now. "Lucky, huh?" She questions a little, her voice soft. Careful, as if she's weighing every word as they press against her tongue, before they pass between her lips. "You must be hand in hand with lady luck far often than anyone else."
