Nintendo Switch 2 Event (LA)
Just back from trying out the Switch 2 and I gotta say the HYPE IS SO REALL!!!! I got to try like 9 different games in about 2.5 hours and it was really an incredible event!
The console really is just an improved version of the original, which I will not complain about. It feels so much better in my hand, I don't feel like I'm an inch close to breaking it by putting the joycons back on, the SR/SL buttons are INFINITELY better to use. No complaints at this time. The mouse feature takes a second to get used to but honestly it was fine! Truthfully, thought I was going to despise it, but that was not the case!
Mario Kart World is absolutely massive, and almost overwhelmingly so. I'm fully seated and eager to explore. Playing the Knockout Tour with 23 others in this soundstage was just one of the best gaming moments I've ever had. Just full chaos, and I cannot wait to play it with friends. DK Bananza is definitely a bit of a hybrid between SMO and BOTW and I just know Nintendo is keeping their cards close to their chest on this one, I feel it in my bones. It's charming and satisfying to play, can't wait to see more of it!
There were too many games to fit into the free play time slot, but I also got to play Split Fiction, Metroid, Kirby DLC, Drive x Drag (which I liked SOOOO much more than I thought I would), and Tears of the Kingdom, which is looking gorgina on the Switch 2. *heart eyes*. Unfortunately, we were not shown the Zelda voice memos, so we must still wait to find out if they crush our Zelink dreams or add fuel to the fire!
I didn't take too many pics, but here are a few from the event!
