i always appreciated your inhun fics for accurately characterizing s2 gihun. i lovee how often he takes charge in your writing, even if hes not very Good at it, and how defiant he sometimes is,, that's so in character... i find a lot of the time people just make him warm up to the front man in 5 minutes and then hes back to his happy goofy self but maybe i was just reading the wrong fics. sorry for da rant err YAY for bottom inho and top gihun! and then eventual switching! yayy!
On the one hand, there's nothing wrong with wish fulfillment, and let's be real - what half of us want (in our hearts, if not our minds) is for 457 to put aside their differences and jump-start their Erik and Charles frenemies-with-benefits era, possibly even closing the enemy gap entirely.
What is fanfic for if not that?
On the other hand - I totally agree that it's much more realistic and accurate to the story and characters portrayed in the show for Gi-hun to hold this grudge for a LONG fucking time.
But again - there's nothing wrong with fanfic that isn't 100% "realistic" to the source material or to real life. It's fanfic. We're all just here to play. ✨ But the metaphorical playgrounds that are the most fun for me, personally, are the ones that feel most real.
And, we love bottom In-ho! Let's be honest, that boy does NOT wear that mask and get called Captain all day just to go to bed at night and want to be responsible for ANYTHING. Dude needs a fucking break.
That said, In-ho (more specifically in this case, the Young-il part of him) REALLY wants to take care of Gi-hun in every way he can, and practically worships him, and Gi-hun is ALSO very very stressed and needs some someone-else-is-in-charge-and-I-can-just-fucking-chill time.
I honestly can't see them as anything but switches, long term. They need each other. 😌
