I See You || Oberyn & Ellaria
The ball had started merely an hour ago, however the floor was already crowded. A woman of almost seven and twenty Ellaria was considered an aging maiden by society's standards. Yet, something drew the suitors to her, be it her smile or her charm; it most definitely was not her dowry. She was not worth a proposal, merely a dance at the ball.
A thick mane of black curly hair floated behind her as she glided between partners. A light laugh escaped between her lips as she twirled, taking a hold of her partner's hand again. She was not a true born daughter of Lord Uller, but a mistake brought back from his travels in war. For this, her step-mother had saw to it that she would not even be allowed in society until her younger trueborn sister was out to society. Her step-mother's cruel eye had a habit of frightening off potential suitors as well.
She had danced three dances the night already. By the end of the fourth she was still smiling, although more so out of breath. She paused to applaud the band with the other dancers, before excusing herself from her partner and going on the search for something to drink. She walked the length of the dance floor, smiling back to a friend who called her name. She laughed out again, running a hand through her hair as she slipped into the crowd of the adjacent room.
Most of the rooms were crowded causing one to slip and weave through a mass of people to travel anywhere. Fortunately for Ellaria, she grew up in the household and knew the best route through the crowd. She bypassed the refreshment room and walked straight for the kitchens. As she moved closer to her destination the crowd thinned.
