Exploring took up plenty of the taomaster’s time these days. The more he explored, the more he learned about the new world he was living in, and that information would prove to be imperative later on, he was sure of it. Without knowing what this world was like, he could never find a way home, and at worst, he could never make a life here if he was stuck here forever. So it simply was not an option.
Today’s exploration had brought Waka to the woods, a setting that finally felt familiar as opposed to the sprawling cityscape that felt far too overwhelming at times. He takes a deep breath, then leaps into a tree. He glides from branch to branch, but a noise stops him in his tracks, eyes widening as he senses he is not alone.
He leaps again to another tree and peers down, silent, only to find a sight that truly shocks him. The only familiar thing he had seen since arriving here - traditional Oina gear. He knew those patterns on the clothing of the man below him, prowling through the woods in search of something. He knew that mask, he knew the Oina people wore them. Unless this was some wild coincidence where this person just happened to be of a group similar to the Oina, there was no mistaking it.
Ushiwaka leaps down from the tree, gliding gently to the ground to land silently behind the Oina man. However, he knew he would be noticed - the Oina were excellent hunters, after all. He is prepared for this, and he has no intention of causing any sort of problem, so he raises his hands innocently as soon as their interaction begins.
“Pardon the intrusion, mon ami. But you must understand that in a place like this, so full of strangers...”
“...I am rather surprised to find a member of the Oina tribe. That is what you are, non?”
