Plan of Escape

She woke up with a splitting headache. Bloody Void, it felt like someone had headbutted her multiple times: she may have a thick skull, but whatever it was that hit her, it hurt. Or perhaps she’d been given something, she couldn’t quite remember. What she did notice though, was that when she tried to bring her hand to her forehead-… She couldn’t. Amber eyes blinked open, a bit dizzy, and she saw the heavy chains linking her to the wall. What the-? And she couldn’t reach her magic either. Magebane. Shit.
And she wasn’t alone either… She heard the groan of the other woman, chained beside her and waking up in what she supposed was a similar state to hers. “Fuck- what in the Void happened?” Where were they? Who was responsible for this?
Marisol was pissed. Not only was her head hurting, but she could tell immediately that she was not where she had been before. It all felt off, especially the scent of the area. She could smell the metal of the chains that held them both and an unfamiliar person as well. Eyes opened and Marisol jerked forward in a panic, but all she managed to do with that was to hurt herself.
“Ow!” She settled down, letting her senses fully return to her and she glanced over at the other person in the room. Qunari. Female presumedly. She was chained as well, so it wasn’t just her who was captured.
“I don’t see anyone.” She thought she heard something in the distance, but for now, it was just the two of them. “I think we were kidnapped, but I don’t know why. You don’t remember what happened?”
Hunter and Prey
@swordsandfire
Marisol was hunting. It had been a few days and she was running low on supplies. With the full moon behind her right now she had the perfect chance to head into town and trade meats and pelts for the things she needed. More medicine and food that wasn’t dried meat. Some of her tools were getting worn and she needed to replace them. Also, new boots might be good. She had somehow torn through the bottom of one and while it wasn’t too bad, she didn’t want to have to use it for another month. It’d probably get worse and with all the traveling she did, it wasn’t worth it.
So Marisol was trying to get as much as she could, for money and for trading. She could come back later if she had to, but right now she was in the middle of a hunt. She was following a deer, weaving through the trees with her bow ready, although right now she was keeping it held downwards as she stalked through the forest. She could smell it in the distance, the scent of blood from an arrow that had landed on its rear but then-
Blood. Not the kind of a deer. She had sent a trap nearby earlier too to potentially catch a bear which would be better than the deer, but this wasn’t a bear. It was... something else. Something she couldn’t quite name. She headed in the direction of the odd scent and soon noises started to become clearer. Someone was trapped in the trap she had set.
Marisol kept her bow at the ready in case they were a danger and moved towards them to see a large qunari woman. Qunari? What was one doing here alone? Her leg was caught in the bear trap that was for certain.
“You are not a bear. Tell me you aren’t a danger to me and I will help you get free.”
