(KotET) 62. Was their love interest present? If so, how has their relationship developed?

Yes and no, since she's with Arcann, lol. He's there in ch 1, then gone until ch 6, then present for the rest of it. I could write books on how their relationship has developed (and have written a lot of fic, though p much all of it is post-KotET), but succinctly, they're in the middle of a good old fashioned enemies to lovers arc during KotET. He's been cleansed of his rage and it trying to atone for everything he did, she's hardwired to give people second chances, it's a very interesting dynamic.

76. Romance Questions(snipped to relevant ones): Did they romance Arcann? What made them fall in love with the man who was a former tyrant, now redeemed? When did they realized they cared for him?

She romanced Arcann because she saw how hard he was working to atone for his actions, without seeking recognition or credit or praise for it, fully aware some people would never forgive him and that was their right, just because he recognized and was taking responsibility for everything he did. He was doing it bc it was right, not because it was easy--in fact, despite it NOT being easy. She admires the strength and determination it takes to do something like that.

And then she starts bringing him on mission and aside from the fact they instantly sync up, he is a tenacious defender. It doesn't matter what it takes, what it costs/risks for him, he's going to protect. He's become someone patient, dedicated, considerate, humble, self-sacrificing who's also really hot when he's fighting /cough She's a Jedi, not blind

It's right at the end of my Unbowed fic(the Landing Party uprising, and boy was that fun to cover) that it clicks for her that she's attracted to him. I'd say it's about... a month(?) maybe two post-KotET by that point. /cue mutual pining

77. What are their feelings on losing the entire Eternal Fleet and the Gravestone and the greatly diminished power of the Eternal Alliance?

She's not looking forward to the way that power shift is going to ripple, bc she figures it'll hurt the people who just want to live in peace the worst. But she's honestly just a little bit grateful to have an excuse to not be the galaxy's go-to Most Powerful Solver of Problems(little does she know they will still expect her to solve all their problems. And get mad when she doesn't do it the way they think she should.)

14. Who is/are their favorite companion(s)?

PH4-LNX, Akaavi, and Bowdaar. She got Fay all the way to 50 and uses her all the dang time unless story constraints pair her with a certain golden retriever Mandalorian /innocent whistling

21. Would they continue their legacy by having children? Adopt? Get an apprentice?

I don't know, honestly. She had a rough childhood that she recognizes is a far cry from a normal one, but she's ambivalent about kids. I think if a) her partner wanted kids, b) a kid wandered up and attached him/herself to Kina, or c) BOTH she'd go along with it, but she's not going to be pushing for any herself.

56. Should Vette get them a giant droid for Life Day?

Absolutely, nothing could possibly go wrong in any way with her doing that.😇😇😇

7. What else about their appearance (e.g. hairstyle, body shape) isn't shown in-game?

Primarily his few implants from service in Imperial Intelligence, but some scarring’s missing as well.

Tyr’s primarily a product of training more than modification and enhancement programs out of Imperial Intelligence, but his implants originally installed by Watcher X on Nar Shadaa during his tenure as Cipher Nine have been maintained and modified by multiple parties over the years, at this point. While initially employed with a more singular purpose, Imperial Intelligence studied and expanded Watcher X’s work during Nine’s routine physical exams to adapt into a more robust vital signs monitoring system primarily, of course, to aid Tyr in his field work, but arguably also to have a better monitor on one of their top agents. Most of this tech isn’t visible, located subdermally, save for a rounded triangular silver outline between his shoulder blades on his back that’s generally a maintenance point. Care, updates, and further modifications to these systems has sinced passed primarily into the care of Doctors Lokin and Oggurobb in the Alliance, particularly in concerns following the Commander’s carbonite poisoning. Lokin is generally who Tyr trusts first and foremost with any details and work on the implants. Some of it is… certainly a bit more experimental - and wasn’t it always? But at least Lokin he has a working history with as his medical officer. He’s not entirely sorry, Oggurobb.

More than likely, the upkeep over the year has resulted in some minor scarring across primarily the back of his left shoulder. It’s one of the few that Tyr has consented to have scar removal treatments performed on, if only to aid in the ongoing healing and maintainence required.

Other than that, Tyr’s multiple encounters with Force users over the years have left their marks. The run-in with Arcann on Asylum left a particularly noticeable one on his left side that Tyr adamantly refused to have treated beyond its natural process of healing. The feathering of effects from Force Lightning primarily encountered in efforts against Darth Jadus early in his Intelligence career have largely faded over time, but still leave a few barely-evident lightning patterns across tanned skin you’d only really get to know if you spent time with him in private - probably most noticeable along his left collarbone. Given how many years he’s spent fighting at this point, it won’t surprise me if he has way more than I have currently figured out, but these are the two primary things that come to mind.

8. Is their voice different to the character in-game, and if so, how?

Tyr is blessed with being my main and primary agent who came together specifically to be Cipher Nine, so what he’s got in-game is all him, baby! If there is anything to say that doesn’t necessarily reflect in-game, it’s that I imagine part of Tyr’s training is some language studies - probably primarily Huttese is a language he has a functional grasp on without the assistance of translator modules.

24. If they could have a stronghold on any world, where would it be, how large would it be, & what would the architecture be like?

Honestly? Something a fair bit smaller while still maintaining more of a house-feel than an apartment or flat would be his ideal. Practically in gameplay terms, I barely know what to do with all of the space for anything more than like, the fleet strongholds, and in-character, Tyr just… does not have the time or energy to keep up with a particularly large living space and he is not likely to be crashing with enough other people to split the load for something like the Alderaan estate no matter how pretty that planet is, lol.

Probably most ideal would be something on Odessen, tbh. I think that’s ultimately where he’d like to settle, even though he would like to step away from being Alliance Commander… some day. He’s enamored with how the sunsets feel on the planet, the golden hues coloring the trees, how the night sky looks, etc. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but it’s really… the one physical, unmoving location that he really does call home. And a lot of that is heavily reliant upon what the Alliance’s time there symbolizes for him, but the Odessen climate certainly isn’t docking points, either.

As you may have guessed, architecture and house planning aren’t things I’d consider strong points, personally, lol, but an ideal world might give Tyr a decently sized kitchen with plenty of counter space and enough room to comfortably move maybe two people around. An island might be nice. He’s still nothing of a master chef, exactly, but it’s hard to beat the simple joy of sharing a kitchen with a loved one and he’d like to think he’s at least passable in cooking his fair share. Something maybe a bit more distanced from the strong, sharp structural themes of Imperial architecture, maybe something a bit more inclusive of more natural materials. Something… far less dramatic in scale and more… personal, quiet. The Voss are onto something with their softer lighting. He’d honestly probably still not mind settling somewhere in the Alderaani woods and mountains for the views, but the grand swoop and scale of Alderaaanian architecture is a bit more of a statement than he’d really need or want. The views are just hard to argue with, though.

Oh, outdoor space would be nice though. Tyr would absolutely land the starship on the back lawn [my kingdom for the starship hook]. And considering my recently developed interest in him learning bladesmithing as a "retirement" activity, he needs enough space to build a forge. xD

12. Be honest, how many outfit tabs do they have?

Annya has 14... which is actually more than Mairen, who is the legacy glamour puss. I suspect dear Mai will catch up, however.

27. Do they have any regrets?

Doc. If she had it to do over again, she probably wouldn’t get involved with him. On the other hand, there’s also the thought that the relationship with him helped prepare her for her life with Theron, so... ::shrugs::

There may be more, if she sat and stewed over it for a while. But she tries not to linger on the past too much, instead moving forward into the next. That she has a bit more control over. The past is the past and it can’t be changed.

56. Should Vette get them a giant droid for Life Day?

Eh, not really. Ahn’s pretty practical, and this is just... over the top. And space is already at a premium on the Odessen base. =D

Both of these ended up being kinda interesting because I... expected to have a somehow both harder and easier time with them than I did, but sitting on them for a few days has not led me to new insights, so we're going with my first-instinct reactions. xD

18. If they could have saved anyone the game didn't give them a chance to, who would it have been?

Hmm… Katha Niar and more of the Makeb team. I suppose, arguably, he’s given a chance to save them, the game just… doesn’t let it work out how he would like. It’s all rather most fitting for Tyr, former Cipher Nine in a precarious predicament of job necessity and security with the forces that remain post-collapse of Imperial Intelligence, to be assigned to a suicide squad, essentially.

To say he’s surprised to find the rest of the team is under a similarly twisted arm scenario is… a bit much, by the smallest of fractions. If there’s any sort of surprise, it vanishes quickly because no one on that team lingers upon it long. They’re all more than aware that this is how their Empire works and there’s no time or sense in begrudging it, unless they’d like to be exploded with the rest of the planet.

If anything, it… kind of offends him - that here is a loyal, incredibly dedicated, incredibly bright team the Empire is throwing at what is both a long-shot problem and a desperately needed solution. If they fail, it will be because they were weak. They will be scorned for losing when the Empire sacrificed so much for even providing them the chance. If they succeed? Well, Tyr’s never particularly convinced it’ll buy him security, but at least he’ll have one more card in his hand to bargain with. Maybe they all will. They were his team, his responsibility. And he meant it when he said he wanted to get everyone home. If anybody deserved that, Katha was surely one of them. But at least she died with her convictions. That’s more than Tyr could expect.

19. If they could have killed anyone the game didn’t give them the chance to, who would it have been?

If Tyr had been given the option to shoot Lokin on Taris, he very well may have. Since they didn’t, I can safely say it works out for all involved largely for the better and knowing what they become, it’s something I would’ve maybe regretted a little, lol.

I was… actually expecting to have a lot easier of a time with this one, but… ultimately, the people Tyr would like to show immediate consequence like this… usually get it one way or another, actually, lol. On another hand, there’s a part of him that… it’s not exactly regret or guilt, in the end, though I suppose it is for a time… I think part of him wonders what might have been if he’d acted more decisively on Quesh, when he investigated Dimalium Six’s link with the Castellan Restraints. Ultimately, he walks away from that, not confident that he has a solid enough explanation for his being there in the first place, let alone why he was there when a very secretive facility partnered with Intelligence goes up in flames. So, in a way, I suppose you could sort of count Administrator Kroius. He technically has that option in-game, but he doesn’t take it. Which is also still one of my favorite fics I've done for him.

25. Do they have any deep dark secrets?

Haha yes actually! He's immortal because he's actually an ethereal spiritual guardian who decided he didn't much feel like doing his job. So he's bumming it on the physical plane... at least he was, until he started feeling guilty. So now he's still bumming it, but he's also on the Jedi Council helping save the galaxy, because doing that makes him feel a bit better about how he's basically an unemployed freeloading bum in his own peoples' terms.

26. Do they have any vices?

None in the conventional sense of the word. But he does like reckless fast flying a bit more than he should--hence, the swoop racing in his youth. It's not like a crash would do any lasting damage, after all.
