"Hello, Mistress Alexander,” Isabela said as she stood from her seat. She shook the sorceress’ hand before sitting back down.

It was a Monday afternoon at Remy’s and the restaurant was rather quiet and calm. That was why Isabela had chosen it. She didn’t want somewhere loud, but definitely somewhere with a bit of fuss. After all, it was a large favour she was about to ask Mistress Alexander for and she couldn’t do that while pinching pennies. Nor why looking like she was trying to be too flashy. She hoped this struck a happy medium, but Cheralynne Alexander had never struck her as the kind of woman who could be wined and dined.

She had first met her over the summer when she was looking to put together a support group. They had worked together on that and now that the magic was back well...Isabela realized that other Magicks (certainly not her) might need the support regardless of the magic being returned or not.

That was what this was about. Isabela asking Hera to continue with her.

“I am so glad you agreed to come. I ordered us the house white wine, but if you don’t like to drink during the day, I am sure they will get you whatever you’d like. On me, of course.”

Simba was late.

He stumbled into Mistress Alexander’s house several minutes after they were supposed to meet a flurry of hellos and smiles and apologies for being late. After all, running a last minute campaign, working as a teacher full time, still being a grad student, and a friend, and a husband, and a member of InterPride’s board, and a member of the Town’s board, possibly having ADHD??? (he hadn’t mentioned that at all, and had honestly forgotten Marzel had brought it up) meant that he was constantly running behind. 

“I am so sorry I am late,” Simba said as Cheralynne lead him into the room with a little couch. He saw Mei curled up in the arm chair and he gave her a little wave. She smiled and waved back. Then, he smiled at Dr. Blanchard.

“Heya, Nancy. Thank you so much for meeting with myself and Mistress Alexander. I am super excited for this opportunity.”

“I am excited to see what we all have to say,” Nancy said with a nod and a smile. “I have worked with love witches a few times in the past and I am looking forward to doing it again.” 

“Great, awesome. Uh, I’ll just--” Simba took a seat, lowering himself slowly, his arm making him clunky these days. “Right, so, to start off the bat: I know you know that people are struggling a lot with what happened.” Not him, though. He was fine. “And I want to focus on that as part of my community building effort and I would like for both of you to be involved. Show that Mundus and Magick approaches to these things can work together, even compliment each other.”

Tommy and Me ~~ [Thomera]

Annie had announced that she was pregnant on Instagram. Even though she hadn’t tagged him, it made everything feel far more real. Every part of this made it feel far more real. Each step of the process. Every morning (or, whenever morning was to him), when he opened the refrigerator for the cream to put in his coffee, he saw the little black and white image and it was real all over again.

And every time he went shopping, or out anywhere, he saw a baby or a toddler, and it was real all over again. He thought about it all the time, even though it was hard to conceptualize it. Annie wasn’t even really showing yet. He had no idea when that would start. Or when he’d be able to feel the baby kick, or if Annie would even let him. His sister had, only once, when she’d been pregnant, and it had been really freaky, to be perfectly honest, but kind of cool too. 

Tom didn’t know anything. And he had--bought a book or two, but they were mostly geared towards women and talked about all sorts of things that he didn’t even understand. 

One day, mostly by happenstance, Tom saw a flyer on the bulletin board of the Moon Market. “Preparing for Baby.” He scanned it a few times to check to see if it was something for women, but it didn’t necessarily say. So, Tom had taken a photo of it with his phone and then set an alarm on his phone.

And on Monday, at six, he stood outside Town Hall dubiously, but he had come this far. There was nothing to be ashamed of, considering he was a new parent. No one--was born knowing how to do this sort of thing. Well, okay, Tom was actually pretty sure women were but he needed help from somewhere. It was supposed to come from his wife, but he didn’t have a wife. He had a woman he didn’t really like, who was the mother of his child. 

Tom climbed the stairs and then pushed the door open. The first thing he noticed was that it was predominantly women. Actually, it was almost all women. Except for a few men scattered about, presumably with their partners. And one group with two men and a woman...whatever was going on there.

Tom’s eyes jumped around the crowd and, then, he cleared his throat and hedged towards the space right next to the door, leaning against it with his shoulders scrunched up by his ears, his cheeks hot beneath his beard.

In which Hades, Belle, Toulouse, and Raksha meet with Dr. Tibbs and Mistress Alexander to discuss their options to conceive...[takes place: idk early January]

BELLE: There were too many people squeezed into Mistress Alexander’s living room, if you asked Belle. 

She sat between Hades and Toulouse on the couch. Raksha was perched, somewhat stiffly, in an armchair next to the couch. The children--including Dhaumya--were with Juno in a backroom, being entertained. If you listened closely, you could hear their giggles and Opal’s shrill, demanding voice. 

Tibbs and Hera were also placed around the living room. They were sitting with their cups of tea. Hera’s living room was certainly cozy, but--it still felt cramped. Especially for discussing something as delicate as they were discussing. 

Hera had opened the floor to the Acheron-Bonfamilles to start the conversation and Belle was wrestling with a way to start.
