“*Hey there, buddy! How have things been?” Undyne asked, a smile prominent on her face. She gave a bit of a pat on the back of Frisk, which was a little harder than intended but she didn’t notice.
“*Have you had any interesting encounters with anyone lately?” Undyne added. She didn’t exactly know why she asked that, she just wanted to get a conversation out of them. Since what fun would it be if she got a typical answer of ‘good’? Then Undyne would probably have to come up with something of a better topic, even if she had some ideas if that was to be the case.

Holy shit Sans, you're usually sweaty butー? What's up with you?
❝ None of your fuckin’ business. ‘Ow ‘bout ya fu-nn-fuck off already!❞
Sans grumbled, leaning against the wall panting as he bit the collar of his jacket.
✂ Possibly brutally after having a nightmare with them in it doing their― thing.

You better get ready to die - Kind of selectively accepting
He remembered the feeling of the sun bearing down on his skull, gently warming the places where it touched down upon his form. He remembered the sensation of the fresh air against his bones, a soft breeze twining in between and through his ribs. He remembered the taste of freedom, heady and rich despite not even having a tongue.
And Sans remembered how, time and again, all of that was ripped away from him.
No more, he decided as he took his customary guard spot near the entrance to the Ruins in Snowdin Forest. It was time for the human’s cycle of resets to end. Scaring them in the final corridor clearly wasn’t working, so trying here in Snowdin certainly couldn’t make matters any worse. He would go with just a simple warning, but... Well, warnings didn’t seem to do anything either.
So perhaps a more persuasive one was in order.
He looked on as the human stumbled their way out of the Ruins, looking significantly more... haggard than usual. Their arms loosely curled about themselves and they kept their gaze locked on the snow beneath them as though they had something weighing heavily upon their mind.
Whatever it was, it wasn’t his problem.
He only approached them once they reached the bridge, advancing forwards and making certain that his slippers crunched down heavily on the fresh snow that lay underfoot, all the better to make himself that much more intimidating. Once he stood immediately behind him, he let out a chuckle, soft and biting.
“Human, don’t you know how to greet an old friend? Not with a handshake, I’ll tell you that much.” Another short series of chuckles. “No, our relationship has soured far too much for a handshake to be our greeting, I’m afraid. But hey, I’m a nice guy. I’ll still help you along on your way.”
Then, his left eye flared a bright neon blue color, one hand raising sharply to grab onto their soul. “It’s just that my brother Papyrus made the bars on this bridge wide enough to pass through... But, luckily for us, that’s an easy fix.” That said, he shoved them forwards onto the middle of the bridge, simultaneously summoning bones to jut forth from the bars that lay on either side of the walkway.
The shattering of their soul was one of the sweetest sounds he had heard in far too long.
