date night with syd and carm is always so cute, you all get dressed together (or undressed and dressed over again). a favorite of yours is movies or arcades, because restaurant dates can turn bad real quick. it was cute at first to watch them gush over food but then it dragged into the whole night, and if you’re not a chef you end up getting bored fast. (don’t worry they made it up to you). however since then, theres a strict no shop-talk rule…. unless its drama. besides thats you guys do enjoy catching a drink and a meal by a local dive bar, its cheap and tastes good and not far from your boyfriends apartment.
carmen is definitely not a social media person and he not the best as verbalizing his feelings, but it doesn’t mean he’s ashamed of your relationship. he constantly shows how he loves you both everyday. with syd it means constantly checking up on her after service, helping her wind down from ordering people all day. he knows what its like to be at the top, so now that they have someone to share the same space and knowledge they trust eachother to step in. there has definitely been times where she’ll be on the verge of a panic attack— hands shaking, voice raising and stuttering — and carm will gently have tina cover his station so that he can take syd into the back for a breather. on that note, syd can also read carm very well. while syd is much more visually distressed carm will shut down and get quiet. she finds the best way to will him is by grabbing his attention and refocusing it. then after work they talk about whatever’s wrong.
with you its a but different, obviously over time he learns your own nervous tells, but he shows his love physically. he’s naturally attracted to you and your embrace, carm always has a hand on you or is insisting you hold him. his favorite spot is literally to be squished between you and syd. it’s obvious with how blushy he gets when either of you lay on him or sleep near him. once you pulled him through the crowd of a festival by his belt buckle and he hid his face towards the ground the while way home. carm also shows he loves you by doing things for you, he never comes over empty handed. wether its a trinket that reminded him of you or if its a snack you like, he always has something. he keeps hair ties on his wrists, vaseline in his pocket, and condom in his wallet. just incase you or syd decide you want him, gotta stay ready you know.
when syd and carm started dating, they definitely wanted to keep it a secret. it just made the most sense as carm’s family is batshit, and as sydney has a lot on her plate as she steps up in the restaurant. he was really scared of messing things up like he did with claire. it was like nothing had changed for like the first month, because they definitely had an intimate friendship and carm was scared to take things further. it only started to develop when syd invited him to be a plus one to her friends wedding and they sat down and had a conversation about it the following night. they both explained that they were okay with more and that they both had their fears. after that weekend things started to churn and they both grew more comfortable expressing their emotions. when you find your way into their hearts things are a little more complicated.. and thats without getting into the fiasco that was trying to tell your partner about how you want to add to you relationship, but it obviously was okay because the teo doofuses were on the same page the whole time.
sugar is the first to notice her brother smiling at his phone more and seeming overall more calm. she talks about it to pete who chalks it up to just less stress, which is also true! having two more people in his life who love him and constantly check on him, but also understand him definitely works. not that he didn’t have people who cared about him before, but its different because syd and you consistently choose to be with him and help him before his avoidant tendencies get the better of him. especially because syd is his coworker so she literally can and will tell him to sit the fuck down before he’s able to get to a crazy point. theres been many a time where syd will send him either home or to take a break with you and cool steam. he finds himself apologizing after, and you try to tell him that you love him and that him having emotions around you and syd doesn’t make him a burden. but thats still a work in progress, but it gets better and he accepts the help. he feels himself being happy without worrying about another shoe dropping. there are stressful times but they’re few and far between. when sugar brings this up too him, be just says its therapy and having other people taking administrative roles at the restaurant.
but back to social media, syd loves taking photos. she has pictures of you and pictures of all three of you, not so much of carm because he literally hates taking photos, but she still gets them in. she loves posting pictures from your dates and its probably how sugar finds out about the relationship. now syd isnt dumb and ofcourse anything obvious goes on a strict close friends story, but one day her and carm got coffee and he just looked so cute bundled up in a scarf so she had to post it! it not a crazy sight, everyone knows her and carm are friends outside of just work… and she hangs with marcus and luca and goes to berzatto events all the time too! but then sugar catches them making out before service out back by the benches. that ones not syd’s fault though— carmy was being a little bitch and begging for a kiss all day, and one kiss turned to two and then who knows when she got in his lap with her back conveniently facing the door. sugar doesn’t tell anyone though. she gets suspicious when carm’s private story has a picture of syd kissing you on the cheek.. but he’s quick to explain and you actually go out with her to brunch! no pete allowed, he has a loud mouth and has been spending too much time with the faks.
syd does has a terrible habit though, she leaves sooo many marks. your own coworkers found out purely from a bite mark on your waist that peeked out from under your cropped shirt. carm has it the worst out of the three of you because syd gets to see them all day. knowing that he’s walking around with a mix of her and your own marks under his clothes, that when he moves around he feels them on his skin. now hickies are not the best thing to leave in open places, even though its her favorite thing, but her mark is left nonetheless. his hair always ends up sticking up and his lips go plump with a mixture of their saliva making a glossy sheen. sydney is such a perv too, thats where the marking comes from. eventually she moves in with you, because your apartment is just closer (and carmen has too many unscheduled interruptions of people coming over, particularly faks and richie, and that leads to too many rushed hiding spots) but then this means to expect the nastiness on top of her playful cuteness. she’ll ‘borrow’ you underwear and wont tell you until you find them on her in bed. you’ll wake up to her grinding down on your intertwined legs in your sleep, even after waking up she’ll just come up behind you and grab a fistfull of your tits while having a normal conversation. just know your ass is getting grabbed or smacked everytime the opportunity arises.
getting back to normal life though, its so clear how much they love you and how much you love them. your camera roll is full of cute pictures and moments from dates, the same as your calendar. if you’re off work and they are too it’s automatically a date. even if it means just ordering in food and playing some games because they’re both too tired from work.
