This is a random list of things about Sydney and Australia that I really just don't want to forget:
Bell peppers are called "capsicum"
Ketchup is "tomato sauce"
Whole wheat is "wholemeal"
Kiwis are between 30 and 50 cents each
Kiwi is also the nickname for a New Zealander
Turkish and Thai restaurants
Pumpkin and mushrooms are surprisingly prevalent ingredients
Pure Blonde, Thooeys New, VB, Resch's, James Squire Amber Ale, a schooner or a pint.

Walking on the left side of the side walk/ footpath
Potato wedges and sweet chili sauce
Cantelope is called "rock melon"
Any kind of sweater, zip-up, or hoodie is a "jumper"
Nuts and nut butter are alarmingly expensive
Favorite suburbs: The Rocks, Glebe, Newtown, Manly
There are restaurants that are not licensed to sell alcohol, but you can BYO wine.
Most restaurants have a "take away" option
The karaoke DJ at Kelly's is named Rufus
American football is called "gridiron"
Rugby Union v. Rugby League v. AFL
Street signs are hard to find.
"Cheers", "heaps", "surely", "good on ya", "how ya going?" "keen"
Elevators are "lifts"
Trash cans are "rubbish bins"
Meat pies, sausage rolls, white chocolate-raspberry muffins, and lamingtons are at every bake shop
There are these things called "onesies" and I don't understand them. They are full sized animal suits that adults wear. Yeah.
Razor scooters are the least effective form of transportation ever, and yet so many people use them here.
The letter "H" is pronounced "hay-tch" instead of "ay-tch"
