Sylvanas's love language is quality time, while lyndra'thel's is acts of service. This is actually what made Sylvanas make her her second in command in life, and her champion in death, and what made Lyn follow her so dutifully til bfa. (Which causes some issues in their relationship's trust lol)

They half way can, they can talk to each other about fears concerning the other, but due to Sylvanas's past betrayal, Lyndra'thel is a little hesitant to trust her for years to come, which causes Sylvanas to pull back a little. Their other thoughts get filtered to Jaina until years down the line.

tbh they usually just try to ignore the problem until it blows up, they try to talk but they always assume the other won't care (Sylvanas usually thinks Lyn just won't care and will brush it off, and Lyn usually thinks Sylvanas will turn it on her or simply leave her) until of course it blows up into a big ol fight and they end up cuddling while drained from it (they're trying to get better with it)

How did Sylvanas and Lynra'thel meet?

Through their moms! Lyndra'thel's mom was a farstrider under Lireesa, and one day she needed Lyndra'thel's mom's help with something, and since her dad was a jeweler in Silvermoon, she had to take Lyndra'thel with her.

While their moms were busy, Sylvanas and Lyndra'thel played together, but Lyn didn't say a word to Sylvanas till they were about to leave. And just after that they kept asking about each other, and when Lireesa would need another farstrider help, Sylvanas would make her beg her to ask for Lyndra'thel and her mom to come over. Eventually as they got older Lyn would sometimes go over without her mom, and eventually she would just walk there without her mom knowing.

And after Cata rolls around, and Sylv starts raising Forsaken with the Valkyr and she starts acting like Arthas Lyndra'thel breaks on the inside. Later, she tells Sylvanas, that she should have shot her dead the second that she first reminded her of that monster. And she meant it, but until the end of BFA she knew it wasn't right in her heart, but “instead I made a bed with apathy.”

Sylvanas to Lyndra'thel always—even in life—seemed like the sun, bright, warm, and always out of reach.

This whole line is them, but especially this one. After Sylvanas leaves, Lyndra'thel hates her, she hates Sylvanas for everything she had done—to both her and the world— and she hates herself for letting Sylvanas become like this. And now that Sylvanas is gone she wants to feel—to exist with building herself around someone elses needs
