Yesterday I had the amazing experience of going to Grande Liberté Farm to attend a liberty performance by Sylvia Zerbini and her beautiful herd of stallions. I love liberty horsemanship because it is all about communicating with horses through body language. I have seen many videos of liberty performances but there is nothing like seeing it live, and Sylvia is by far the best liberty performer I have seen! I was in awe the whole time and I have never seen that many horses in a liberty team at once! The show started by introducing each if the horses, and the second part of the show featured the whole herd! After the show we got to go in the barn to see the horses and meet Sylvia. My favorite part of the experience was getting to meet her beautiful Andalusian stallion. I love all horses, but I can say I have never smiled bigger around a horse! He was something straight out of my horsey daydreams and I never thought I would get to meet a horse like him in person! I was so in love with him! I will never forget this experience and I hope we can go back again. Sylvia also offers lessons in liberty and I’ve been thinking about taking one sometime in the future.
