Sylvie turned around when she heard footsteps approaching. "Sergeant Bradford." She greeted the other, already expecting the police to eventually come to the scene. It had been a robbery gone wrong, two of the victims had been taken to the hospital already but the assailant didn't make it. "The assailant didn't make it, the security guard got him good." Sylvie explained to the sergeant. "Do you need a statement?"

Sylvie had only been here for two months, still adjusting to life in Washington. Chicago had been her home for the longest time, it was hard to adjust to a new place where she didn't know anyone. And well, she truly had no idea if her friends also ended up here or not. Sylvie ended her shift and was heading home when she spotted someone familiar, the first one since she arrived here. "Hailey." She called out, jogging up to meet the other. "It's so good to see you. I was starting to think I ended up here on my own."

Sylvie knew that they were taught during training to leave the patients at the hospital and leave it behind. But there were cases when she found it hard to do that, mostly when it involved kids. So after shift, Sylvie stopped by the hospital and approached one of the physicians. "Hi, I'm Sylvie and I'm a paramedic. I brought in a child earlier, car accident. I was just wondering if you could give me an update."

"I guess we're stuck with each other for the next shift." Sylvie said as she approached TK. "Do you want to go over the stock and make sure we have everything we need before the shift starts?" She asked, pointing towards the ambulance.

"How is the shift going so far?" Sylvie asked as she entered the common room, taking a seat at the table next to Eddie. She had to take care of some personal business so she missed the beginning of the shift. This wasn't Chicago, not even close, but she didn't mind it here. It was definitely missing the craziness and chaos of Chicago but part of her was thankful for the quiet shifts every once in a while.

Sylvie entered what had become her favorite coffee shop since being here. Truth was, she didn't have much time to try other places and this one was the closest to both the fire station and her apartment. As she waited in line for her turn, she was distracted by her phone and ended up bumping into someone. "Oh watch it!" She said, maybe a little more aggressive than she intended before lifting her head and coming face to face with her friend Stella. "Stella! You're here as well!" Her voice went from annoyed to relieved in seconds when she realized that she wasn't alone in here after all.
