Concept art school in Canada

Hey guys, I'm looking to study concept art and dive deep into the animation industry in Canada. So far my best options seem to be VFS and Syn Studio. I really like VFS but I've read not so good reviews from recent years.. can anyone tell me their experience?

I'm out of Canada so do you know about the work rate for international students? I know it's not only about the effiency of the school but also the networking you can get... what do you think of the networking I can do on both of these schools?

La semaine dernière, j'ai commencé un autre cours en ligne; ''Introduction au concept art''. Cette classe, toutefois, n'est pas a propos des personnages, mais je suis tombée sur un bon cours ou le focus est sur les armes et les buildings...mes pires ennemies! A date, j'aime bien et j'apprends beaucoup! C’était ma prochaine étape d’amélioration!

Le thème donnée par le prof;  Fantaisie:  Les humains ont crashes sur une planète alien de glace. 500 ans plus tard, ils sont revenues dans une société plus primitive. Dessine 3 choses basées sur cette prémisse.

Last week, I started another online class, ''Introduction to concept art''. That class however doesn't focus on characters but on objects/prompts and buildings...my worst enemies! For now, I like it and I'm learning a lot! This is something that I was looking for to improve!

The theme gaves by the teacher: Fantasy: Humans crashed on an winter alien planet, 500 years later, they are back as primitive tribes. Draw 3 things based on that brief. It could be prompts and buildings.

Final for our rendering class. We could either redesign a character from our teacher’s game, Moon Hunters, or invent some environment assets. I almost did environments buuuuut I love character stuff and it’s been a long week. This character is the Ritualist, who uses hymn-based void magic, basically.

One of our two end of term workshops was with Serge Meirinho, who worked on Child of Light. We got to redesign Aurora as a new evil queen and a new young princess for a theoretical sequel, and then we took those designs and did some box art. 

I wanted to do a story where Aurora didn't become DARK when she became evil, but instead became brighter as her rule became absolute and her judgement of darkness harsher. Fig was born from a fruit tree in a graveyard that began to grow when Aurora and the firefly passed by the graveyard early in Child of Light ("don't they know stone seeds won't grow" or something to that effect was said, iirc.) Where Aurora's light is absolute, Fig provides shade and refracts its whiteness into color using the ornamental crystal shield that came from the grave of an old warrior from which the tree that bore her grew.

I recently caught up on Steven Universe and I think that shows through in my big queen/little hero size difference on the box, hahahaa
