What are synechiae? Causes, Types & Treatment Options.

Synechiae are abnormal adhesions or connections in the eye that form a band of scar tissue, binding the two parts together. When the scar tissue, that sticky substance in the eye, joins the iris with the cornea or lens, it can restrict movement and make them dysfunctional, making you feel pain.

Was just scrolling through my camera roll and realized I never posted about my uveitis this summer…

First pic is the day after diagnosis (I looked creepy AF)

Second picture is after a few weeks of treatment.

My pupils are pretty much back to normal now (technically my right pupil isn’t perfectly round but you can’t tell unless they’re dilated)

It was a painful, terrifying experience that hopefully was a one time thing…
