In Syria, 2014, two Los Angeles area Armenian power gang members were filmed fighting to keep Bashar Al Assad in power during the Syrian Civil War. The men were later identified as Sarou Madarian (aka Creeper) and Nercis Kilajian (aka Wino), two Syrians of Armenian ethnicity who had resided in the U.S. before being deported back to Syria due to criminal histories. As of now, Madarian lives in Armenia and operates a gym and Kilajian ended up being killed in the war.
