THE MOST TRAUMATIC FINNISH SONG EVER
Sorry to talk about christmas but I randomly remembered something and had to talk about it
Ok so Finnish people are sad sad melancholic people (somehow we still keep getting voted as the happiest people and that makes me wonder wtf is up with rest of the countries are u guys ok) and nothing really shows that like out christmas songs.
Now there are SO MANY to talk about (dead children ect) but im going to talk about my (least) favorite: Hei mummo (hey grandma)
Some parts translated (poorly):
Day in the north is lonely
The barren land was deserted long ago
Trail to the cottage is sloppy and icy
And grandma lives there alone
Husband died and children left to the world
Now the lonely cottage is surrounded by night
During the day time it is just dark
Only during summer car arrives to the yard
Week goes by and grandmother is left alone
AND THAT JUST KEEPS PLAYING
GRANDMA IS DYING ALONE AND IT IS YOUR FAULT -the song
OH YOU ARE NOT IN THE MOOD TO LEARN A LESSON YOU JUST WANT TO BE HAPPY? TOO FUCKING BAD
