Iterations of the First Project 8
We began working on prototypes for our circuit cards idea. We were looking at using medium thickness clear plastic, copper tape, and LEDs with flat disc shaped 3v batteries.
Through quite a few goes, we noticed how fickle the copper tape is to work with. It is quite difficult to get the electricity to run through it continuously. I believe we are still looking at working with it, but we will have to be very careful.
Jordan began drawing out the basics to your circuit on paper cards, though he was using a complicated 4 wire circuit because he brought in some RGB strip LEDs that would work better on cards.
Charles suggested that we use some ready made kits to help our process along, and that we also make sure we are looking at how the final card set will be presented, the fabrication of it. They cannot be held together with tape. Ricardo also stopped by to discuss how we were going. He gave us some tips on play testing, using the rules in variations to see if it makes things more enjoyable. Donna also popped by for a moment to check on us. She had thought up some things , like we could use the conductive paint as an adhesive, it would help stick the batteries into place, and we could possibly use conductive ribbon instead of copper tape if we were having difficulty with it, the ribbon is also insulated, and has four pin adaptability. She showed us a sample of ribbon.
We now have a lot of options, but I feel like we have a quite a lot to do.
