7.) What triggers nostalgia for them, most often?  Do they enjoy the feeling?

There isn’t much about Eorzea that gives Alokh nostalgia for the harsh climes of the Nhaama Desert and his life with the rest of the Torgud tribe.  Sometimes he has to curb the urge to disrobe while walking around the more brutally hot parts of Thanalan, but that’s not quite the same thing.  

With Eorzea’s recently increased trade and travel with the Far East, however, he’s been able to cook some food that’s brought a taste of the Steppe to his home in Mist.  And there’s nothing like hot shorlog to remind him of the few times the Torgud clan ventured out of the desert to barter at Reunion.  

11.) How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?

Depends on the level of confusion.  Most of the time Alokh will just give a nonspecific “What?”, and if he’s still not getting it, he’ll just keep asking.  If it’s something he figures isn’t super important, he has a tendency to just smile and nod, as it were.  But if he’s really lost, he’ll just stare blankly at whatever the problem is until someone either informs him or the issue resolves itself.

13.)What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

Reds, typically.  Usually it works, but sometimes it’s too close to his skin tone, or sometimes it’s way too bright or too close to purple.  The other answer to this is white.  He knows he looks good in his tribe’s traditional white bodypaint (and birthday suit), but it took him a long time to give up on white clothing for the most part.

17.) Are they easily embarrassed?

Yes and no.  He’s a pretty fuckin’ shameless lizard, all things considered.  I mean, every once in a while he gets upset that Eorzean etiquette doesn’t let him just run around naked when he feels like it.  And he’s got zero qualms about demanding sex from his husband, lmao.But Alokh does have a very short list of things that will embarrass him.  And if you hit it the right topic, he’ll be red in the face for weeks afterwards.

F.) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?

Pride, happiness?  I love my fat-assed lizard, y’all. :0It actually took me a long time to make a character in ffxiv that I felt comfortable with as a simultaneous representation of myself and a standalone character.

Monk: What’s your character’s greatest motivation in life?

The D.lmao no, Alokh’s biggest motivation is kind of a mix of a few different things.  he first left the Nhaama Desert because he wanted to see what the rest of the world was like, what else there was besides just hot sand and the harsh sun.  the once-in-a-long-while trips his tribe made to Reunion were proof enough that there was more to the world.  A large part of what he does is still rooted in that desire to experience everything the world has to offer.  To climb the highest mountains just because they exist, to find out what’s on the other side of the ocean, to meet cultures like nothing he’s ever seen back home.But alongside that, much of what he does is also just because he thinks it will be fun or feel good.  Sometimes that leads to him fighting gods for fun and profit, sometimes it just means lazing around on the beach in the midday sun warming his scales.  (...but yes, that includes sex.)

Bard: What real-life song would you say best fits as your character’s theme?

Astrologian: Does your character believe in destiny?

yes and no.  Alokh believes in hard work and good luck and taking advantage of opportunities that present themselves.  When you grow up in a harsh desert, you learn that the difference between life and death is whether or not you leap at a fortuitous opportunity.  So...Alokh doesn’t necessarily believe in destiny, but he absolutely believes in luck, if that distinction makes sense to you.

Omg, I so would, but I have GOT to work on getting this weight off again. Thankfully, the new apartment complex I’m moving into with @jenngeek has a gym included in the amenities. And, if I’m recalling correctly, our apartment is right across the walk from it.
