Tutorial || Kid & Harte

The sun beat down on Kid’s head even as he tried to shield himself with his hands. Jeeeez! He had forgotten just how hot Alola could be in the summer. He was just a kid the last time he’d come to the region and maybe the terrible downside of the tropical weather had conveniently slipped his mind, but Kid really didn’t expect it. It’ll be fine, he thought. I can live with the heat, he thought.
Yeah, no?
Well, the best Kid could do for now was get to his destination as quickly as possible and savor being inside a nice, ideally cool building for a little while, even if it might be just for a few moments. He had stopped in the Pokemon Center in Paniola Town for a few moments to relax. God, why can’t they make a convenient, transportable air conditioner? Maybe he should try to invest in a Frost-Rotom or something... not that it mattered right now. Kid was getting close to his destination for the day: the Pokemon Nursery.
First of all, Kid couldn’t get over how cute of a name that was for it. In Unova, it was just known as a Daycare. Still cute, but... nursery? Come on! So cute! Second of all, he was really excited to visit it and possibly test it out. He had a few Pokemon that might just be the right test subjects for this experiment.
Kid had never used a Daycare or Nursery before, but he had always had a fledgling interest in it. Daycares were used not only to helped weaker Pokemon get stronger, but also to help breed Pokemon. That was what Kid was into. Pokemon breeding opened up a whole world of possibilities! If you knew what you were doing, then you could do yourself a lot of great favors by breeding the perfect Pokemon for fighting, for contests, for anything, really. It was probably really hard to do, but hey, Kid was feeling pretty optimistic about learning the ropes.
Really, he was just dropping by to learn about the whole shebang. Maybe ask a few questions. Nothing too much, just a quick visit, that’s all. No more, no less. Kid could get really overboard with new interests, but he was not going to do that this time. No.
Kid finally came upon the little house that was the Pokemon Nursery. Behind it was fenced land with many kinds of Pokemon roaming on it. It was pretty amazing to see all these things together in one place! Though he could have stayed out there for hours, he had to press on. Plus, still hot. No time to waste there!
Kid turned the knob to the door and entered. The bell on the wall just above the entrance jingled as he opened and closed the door behind him. What met him was a modest little room with a desk and PC and some furniture, but not much else. Not that they probably needed much more than that, huh? Ahead of him, Kid spotted a man behind the desk.
“Helloooo!” Kid called. “Uhhh, this is the Pokemon Nursery, right? I just have a few questions for you, if that’s okay! I promise I won’t take up too much of your time.”
