It was only around this time last year (2015), I was in the stage of having my final weeks of completing school.. and yes there can be a range of different emotions throughout this time. Some can be happy, Some can be sad and Some can even be scary.
For the Year 12s who are about to complete one of their lifetime chapters of life, I would like to leave you these three pieces of advice/tips.
Enjoy every second, minute, hour and day of those last few weeks because you won’t realise how fast it will go.
Always Remember no matter what school you finish at, you always connect with them when you finish. You never know what opportunities they may have for you once completed.
Whether you like or dislike being at school, think about what you gained from it. It’s not all about doing schoolwork...
School Assigned Tasks/Assignments: The way you tried your best and getting something out of it.
Co Curricular and Sport Activities: Whether it is playing your favorite sport. representing your school or helping the Community raise money towards those in need.
Life Lessons: Learning the simple lessons of life which can include: Asking someone if they need help or giving them a handshake and an appropriate greeting.
Friendships: One of the most important things is getting to know others whether it is a teacher or student.
4. Take the opportunity to thank those who have supported you throughout your schooling journey. Especially the ones who paid for your school fees.. (Mum and Dad) For helping you with homework, problems and being there for you.
and Number 5. The Three “R”s - Remember, Recognise & Reflect - Remember the good times, Recognise that it's not long to go and Reflect on it
