The visit to the training hall was an incredibly welcome distraction. Though Loki relished the time that they spent researching, thrilled by the intellectual challenge that combining magic and technology presented, he had become restless with the routine that he and Vuhs had fallen into, stir-crazy when he was not permitted to venture beyond their floor or the laboratory unless in the director’s company. The prospect of some sparring seemed like just the thing he needed to release some of his frustrations, a welcome reprieve from the incessant hours spent working to fulfill the other man’s aims.
Vuhs had proved to be an impressive opponent despite insisting that combat in such close quarters was not his speciality, and as the two of them landed hard on the mat and he found himself pinned beneath the silver-haired man Loki took a moment to catch his breath. “Don’t patronise me.” He retorted through gritted teeth, glowering up at him. “I’m not your pet.” In one smooth motion the Asgardian rolled them so that he was on top, still breathing hard. After a moment a smirk began to creep at the corners of his lips. “But it depends on whether you can handle more.”
Not mentioning how much it took for Vuhs to actually get Loki down on the ground, it was just as easy for the Asgardian to flip them around and soon Vuhs found himself on his back instead. “Whether or not you’re my pet depends on if I can handle more?” He asked, raising his brow as he purposely twisted Loki’s words. The dashing Asgardian on top of him was quite a sight and the director found himself unable to resist teasing him.
Aware the other was keeping him properly pinned, he laid where he was and waited for an opportunity to regain advantage instead, if they were to continue their sparring. He still had plenty of stamina, however taxing it was facing off a venting Loki. An outlet was certainly needed for the god from today’s experience and it would be good for Vuhs to keep that in mind, already rescheduling their progress on the calendar.
