Restaurants were typically fast paced work environments, with guests rotating in and out, chefs cranking out meals, and servers busting ass to make sure their customers would at least leave them a reasonable tip at the end of the night. The fast-paced, constantly changing nature of service is why Sam even starting working there in the first place. The pace would make time go faster, and anything was better than his previous job. The only times it sucked were when it was dead. And at that point it was just -
“Boring.” Sam muttered lightly under his breath, leaning against the front counter. His chin rested on the marble top, his arms outstretched to where he was holding his phone in front of him. His fingers tip-tap-typing messages to his friends as he tried to fill the boringness of work.
He yawned in an exaggerated fashion , letting his phone drop to the counter, revealing his blonde coworker behind it. “Heey,” a n arm oh-so smoothly lifted, chin resting in the palm of his hand. His free arm rested against his hip and his feet crossed.
“Boring night, am I right?” Hee-hee, that rhymed.
