It Started With a Kiss

“I now pronounce you, man and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
Draco turned, lifting the veil that hid Astoria’s face from his. The corner of his mouth ticked. Ready or not, he now had a wife and she was looking expectantly at him.
He perhaps took a minute too long, but Draco did eventually dip his head, pressing his lips to hers — his wife, still a virtual stranger, but one he was likely to bed before the end of the evening.
It was hardly a passionate kiss, never mind an affectionate one, but that was to be expected, after all Draco always had a thing with public displays of affection.
He lifted, staring into her face. He took her arm and turned. At the sound of the applause he paused before taking a step off the dais and whispered for her ears, “Shall we, Mrs. Malfoy?”
