&& codenamemockingbird As Doc made his way home, he became the unfortunate victim of a violent crime. A mugger stopped him, and while Doc was more than willing to give up all of his valuables, the other man was the twitchy sort, and ended up stabbing him in the gut before running away.
He was still close enough to the clinic that he could get there to patch himself up, but it was a slow walk. Every step was painful, and Doc was trying his best to be as inconspicuous as possible. A task not made easy by the fact that he had to grip his abdomen to prevent the bleeding. The only real saving grace was that it was later in the evening and there wasn’t a lot of people on the street. He didn’t want to deal with questions.
