“I would love to be that free but alas I can not. There are quite a lot of people that depend upon me to keep them safe, and fed. Most of my time is caught up in planning every possible outcome so there are no surprises. I fear that I won’t be able to let go of that, Regina.” Robin tries to offset that with a smile, “Besides; planning for a happy future together isn’t all that bad is it? The fun is in the getting there.” Talking about this is a natural segway into the most important goal of the future for him personally. “Is it truly surprising that I would want to start a family with you? I always hoped that one day I would find myself in love, married and have children. Despite my reputation and the dangers I am constantly in I really only want what most people take for granted love.”

Outlaws to the Crown

Regina smiled contentedly as they shifted and she leaned on him. She could sleep like this. That was for sure. She nodded and hugged him. This still felt like a dream, falling asleep in his arms. They now shared a bed, a tent. She was home. Home was with him.

She kissed him and yawned again. “Goodnight, my Robin,” she said. “Love you. Always love you.”

     Whispered words of love that filled the small tent carried them both into sleep as their exhaustion and relief finally made them succumb to probably the first truly restful sleep they’ve had in a very long time. At least this was the case for the young outlaw known as the Prince of Thieves. He didn’t fancy the title but it amused him now because in a way it made him seem more worthy of the woman he’s come to love; his queen. 

      As morning broke over the forest Robin stretched out then curled towards her fitting up against her like the big spoon to her little one. A heavy arm draped over her waist holding her to him as his chin rested atop her head. They needn’t get up soon if at all unless something happened within the camp or they desired to get to work on showing her how to become one of the band of thieves.
