Something about taako's famous monologue including "i have a beating heart!" and lup's speech on the best day ever having "taako, you Are my heart. You know that right?" Is making me fully ugly sob. We know it goes both ways, is the thing. He's her heart, and she's his, and this sad empty version of taako that has forgotten is declaring that he has a beating heart while she is simultaneously missing and dead and also Right There at his side, so he's completely right and completely wrong and he doesn't KNOW

Relistening to Stolen Century and am still so in love and obsessed with how immediately Justin is enamored with Lup. He finds out Taako has a sister and he's so intensely in love with the idea of her. Griffin drops her first line of "Nerd Alert!" and Taako is on the floor laughing- Justin sees the vision and he knows the vision and he's IN IT. HE LOVES HER. TAAKO LOVES HER. AUGH.

Griffin knew exactly how to play it, and Justin was on board before Griffin could even say jump. Its just insanely beautiful the way Justin latches onto it, because Yeah. Because Yeah, if Taako had a sister he'd be obsessed with her. They'd be obsessed with each other. A perfect duo that doesn't always agree but who bring the same energy to the table. Lup is the perfect accent to Taako. They balance each other. They're the Twins. And he loves her so so so much.

This time with friends!

Merle is a fat, middle aged dwarven man with medium-dark brown skin, wavy gray hair with an equally wavy beard and otterlike features (sharp teeth, whiskers and a long furred tail). He is depicted as a trans man with breasts. He is wearing a teal tank top and lemon-green pants.

In the first panel, Taako stands holding two champagne glasses. He smiles and looks down as he says “Happy new cy-”

In the second panel, he is rudely interrupted by Magnus and Merle, the former holding a little flag and a noisemaker and the latter with a sparkler. Merle winks as he shouts, very colorfully, “HAPPY NEW CYCLE, SLUTS!”
