How would you like Ruby and Blake to interact more? Like, what things would they do, what would they talk about, that sort of stuff.
In regards to volume 8, I think Ruby and Blake could have a really good heart to heart about Ruby putting responsibility on herself and not letting other people help her carry the weight. Blake’s situation wasn’t exactly the same, but she knows what it’s like to feel as if you have to isolate yourself and not let anyone else help you through your problems.
If we do see a dramatic team split up like some in the fandom predict (that I don’t necessarily believe will happen) I’m fully confident that Blake would take Ruby’s side.
In general, Blake and Ruby are actually incredibly similar in their ideals and habits, something I think we’ve been robbed of exploring. They both have a deep sense of justice and empathy and have both been horribly disillusioned with their preconceived notions on heroism. I do like how Blake has fallen in line with Ruby’s leadership a lot more since they were reunited, though. More than anyone, I think Blake gets what goes on in Ruby’s head, and vice versa. Sometimes I feel like MK is trying to build a subtle sense of camaraderie between them, but other times I don’t know if I should be giving them that much credit.
Also I want them to talk about books. I wanna see Ruby reading over Blake’s shoulder while Blake waits for her to be done before turning the page. I wanna see them sneak off to the library for a quiet place when they need an hour or two away from other people when they’re feeling overwhelmed. I want them to talk about the cheesy shoujo that they both definitely read and fight over who would make the better love interest for the female lead.
People really do tend to pretty hypocritical in regards to guy vs girl characters. While it is nice to have strong ladies in media targeted towards boys, it’s also important to have good, strong guy characters in media targeted towards girls. But people don’t really care about that as much.
Honestly yeah.
It’s because they’re taught to care more about women than they are men. Men are pigs, men are jerks, women and girls only need other women and each other, etc.

I'm really tired of people bringing up/making jokes about Joseph's cheating whenever there is content around them. Like we get it, Joseph cheated on Suzi, can you let people enjoy the content?

I know you like a hated character from a fandom I’m not in (Vriska from Homestuck), but I want to thank you. I have problematic faves, I frequently get anxious. And sometimes when I worry that I’m a bad person for liking characters who aren’t good people/ships that can be abusive, I go to your blog to prove that I can still be a decent person while liking fictional “monsters” who are not treated as total monsters by the narrative or by fans. So thanks, your blog legit helps me ease anxieties.

Too many people seem to treat morality as performative? As if it’s not about being a good person, but about liking the right things. Conforming to a general attitude rather than doing the right thing.
But it’s not about what fiction you like, or characters, or ships, it’s about how you treat other people that matters.
And I just hope I remain a good example in the future. I know I’m not perfect, but I do try to be good. And so I hope I remain being good while I can.
Honestly, I‘m still a relatively inexperienced writer, but seeing how a lot of fandoms still sees its girls and f/f as like, inherently purer and better than men or m/m or whatever makes me want to go into “ambitious project” mode and write a loooot more impure fic focused on girls.
