Big J from @worthikids​’ Wire is half Vampire

Visual clues: 

Large, yellow eyes 

(that her ‘siblings’ don’t possess)

Disproportionally long, sharp teeth 

(that her ‘siblings’ also don’t seem to have)

Contextual clues: 

Surviving this freefall apparently unharmed and doing considerable damage to a stone tower

(the entire mid-structure of that thing just exploded) 

Kicking a hole into mortared stone bricks and stopping another freefall with her body alone, again, apparently unharmed

(and she fell a fair bit even after starting to drag on the bricks)

This might also explain her sudden catatonic exhaustion after her feats of superhumanclown exertion 

(She looks dead, but neither Lil nor Cap seem worried about or surprised by it)

But yeah! That’s my theory- I hope you like it! :D 

Some more ideas: 

In my headcannon, clowns in this universe are not human. Meaning that in being half-vampire, half-clown, Big J has vampire traits that have become somewhat mutated by her clown genes (eyes, teeth, wings, etc.)

One side-effect of half-vampirism is her ability to shapeshift her teeth, and her jaw to accommodate them, as well as to enable speech (although it is pretty rough, as you hear in the song). Her ‘wings’, however, are not shiftable and have been like that for most of her life. 

To Lil J and Captain J, Big J is a half-sister only. I don’t know which of her parents was the vampire yet. 

I want to say that she’s somehow related by blood to the vampire boss guy- making the two clans’ rivalry even more heated. 

Her siblings and her crew know that she’s half-vampire and love her unconditionally anyways, going so far as to obstinately defend her if outsiders doubt her trustworthiness

Don’t know for sure, but maybe the reason she was so eager to shove Portal Dude out of the ship was that she was starting to feel a sort of kinship with him before his betrayal? As the only other vampire aboard? Maybe perhaps, that part of her wasn’t inherently evil?

Oh well.

Character trade with Laughing-Lagomorph on DA!  They asked for a ripoff of The Joxter from the Moomins  and I was happy to accept the challenge!

I dressed them in what are apparently Traditional Finnish Clothes, and referenced this well-known photo of a stoat

Visual Clues: 

His teeth aren’t as long or bat-like as the other vampire. 

(Portal Guy’s canines are just kind of long, and that’s it.) 

He has facial hair (idk if that’s a trait vampires lack in this world) and seems to have more human-shaped eyes

(he also looks slightly less starved than the second vampire)

I also wanted a cool reason for his eyepatch to be there :P

Contextual Clues: 

He’s able to create portals (and he even seems to be unique in that ability, as far as we’ve seen). 

And not just a portal- a portal from the Living (clowns, humans, etc.) to the Undead (Vamps, demons, etc.) 

Being half human and half vampire could have given him the ability to channel this specific magic. 

Other ideas: 

In my headcannon, clowns in this universe are not human. So, a Vampire/Human would look more like Portal Guy, and a Vampire/Clown looks more like Big J. 

He might wear the eyepatch more to protect his human eye than to disguise the trait. Perhaps his portal magic or the undead realm would cause him pain to behold, or maybe even cause permanent damage to his human eye. 

Not sure what his backstory is in relation to the J’s, but I like the idea that he was sent aboard as a double-agent in an attempt to kidnap Lil J to serve as a bargaining chip (which he succeeded in doing, but was caught). 

My mom said I should call him Bloody Bill for lack of another name and I think that’s hilarious
