It's still a work in progress in some ways and I'll be always waning to improve it, but at this point it is up and functioning and has members. But we need more members to make it better. The server is a place for D&D and other table-top games. Whether that be just talking about the game, new players looking for a starting point, workshopping ideas for character or campaign ideas, or for actually playing D&D. I never would have thought to use a voice chat program for actually playing, but someone I follow turned me on to that idea and I love good ideas. A small bit about myself, I started playing D&D 14 years and two editions ago. I mostly play 5e now. I'm a white straight midwestern male (he/him), and most of my groups have been other straight white midwestern people. A big part of my interest in doing this is expanding my own horizons by playing with people who have had much different life experiences than me. I'm also 29, so I would prefer to limit this to people over 18 for what I hope are obvious reasons. I want to make it a safe space for everyone, so I want to welcome all genders, races, orientations, etc. That being my primary goal, I also want to welcome all playstyles as well. If you're new to the game but follow any of the wonderful D&D podcasts out there, we would love to have you. If you've been playing for years but don't have a group anymore, hit me up. If you want a goofy, laid back, rules light game, the door is open. If you like dark, gritty, high lethality games, you're welcome to come see if anyone else likes those kinds of games. If you like role playing, but your favorite system is something lesser known, you're invited. I can't say everyone will jump at the chance to play Shadowrun or GURPS, but you're still welcome to come and join us. Maybe someone has never played or even heard of those and maybe they will be interested. My main rule is don't be a dick. It's all about respect. Don't condescend to people new to the hobby if you have been at it for decades. Don't tell people your favorite system or setting is better than theirs. Obviously don't be mysoginistic, homo-, bi-, trans-phobic, etc. If anyone is interested, send me a message. I'd like to get to know people a little before I let them join so I have a good idea of who you are, what experience you have, what kind of games you like, and what you are most interested in by being a member of our server. Whether that be finding your first game, sharing stories of past games, or just having a sounding board for your character or campaign. And feel free to ask me questions as well. There's a whole wide world of table-top gaming out there and I say the more the merrier.
