McMillan TAC338 - .338 Lapua
Let's talk precision for a moment. We just received the McMillan TAC-338 chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum with a heavy, match-grade 26.5" barrel. The TAC-338 includes a muzzle brake as standard and a detachable box magazine. It also includes a hinged floorplate. The metal surfaces are finished with Cerakote in "McMillan Tan" to match the color of the fiberglass A-5 tactical stock. The stock features a spacer system, integral adjustable cheekpiece, and flush mount swivel cups. The trigger is tuned to a crisp 3lb pull which is standard for most tactical organizations. The barrel threads and the chamber are cut to critical tolerances and fit by hand. The barrel axis is perfectly in line with the bolt axis. The bolt face and action face are perpendicular to the barrel axis. The action is pillar-bedded into the stock and the barrel is free-floated. All dimensions are held to competition benchrest standards. Complimented with a Nightforce 8-32x56mm NXS riflescope which offers fast adjustments for precise, repeatable shot placement. The broad magnification range means there is now virtually no target outside the capable shooter’s reach, while it remains highly versatile and appropriate to a wide variety of applications. This rifle is a tack driver at distances most people only dream of shooting.
