I'm 11 years old and I've just come back from an outing with my parents to the city center. I'd found out through a kids' magazine that there was a shop that sold import games and they had Gold and Silver in stock, and my parents have brought me there that Saturday morning. I'm elated. Giddy with anticipation. I sit on my bed with my back to the window, reading what little I can of the manual because it's in English. I've borrowed my dad's Collins pocket dictionary, and I'll never really return it. As I slot the cartridge in the console and turn it on, listening to the opening music, I wonder if I will remember this moment when I'm older.

Hi Tacky ❤️ today has been a pretty,, uh, unconventional day (to say something). I hope you and your family are okay 🙏 according to what we heard on the radio, Catalonia + North in general had electricity before us, so that's very good!

On my side of Madrid, we got electricity back around 10 pm,, but apparently trains and such are not going to be fully functional until a few more days... I hope everything can go back to normal soon.

So I think you need to take responsibility for what you've done by not being like those two idiots I love so much and accepting the following praise as true because

I just finished binge reading Inked on Skin and I am still trying to process just how astounding that was to read. Not only did you write characters that I completely despised, fell in love with and now want to both punch and give massive hugs to but you also made me fall even more in love with existing One Piece characters in completely new ways.

The overarching story was so brilliantly planned and paced. I was completely engrossed with Saki and her story from the beginning and yet you managed to continually develop and reveal pieces of her character that felt so natural, established and real but still left me beyond surprised. Both the existing and new characters felt so real, fleshed out and genuine in their thoughts, actions and reactions throughout the whole story. The way you wove your own ideas with story arcs was so interesting, detailed and just made so much sense to the characters and the world.

There were so many moments your writing had me glued to the story, holding my breath as events transpired, some so satisfyingly drawing together different ideas that had been built up throughout the story while others took me completely off guard and needing to know how the consequences would play out.

What I'm trying to say is that I am genuinely obsessed, blown away and just like dam that was good I can't wow

Thank you for putting this piece of writing on the internet for me to enjoy! I'm beyond excited to look through your other writing (once I get over the whiplash and emptiness that comes with having completed reading such an incredible piece of writing)!!!

Spoilers: I super liked it. My English has stopped working because I do not have the words. Though some things made me suspicious, I wonder if you will develop some of the relationship between the canon characters further than in canon? Haha, it really isn't necessary to look up any extra info, but I get the need to research ✨for science.✨ But if you want something else to chew on: the fic only mentions that the village is in Shimane prefecture, but it's specifically located in the part of Shimane that was the old Izumo province. It's not too far from the greater city of Matsue.

I'm kind of trying to do a thing with Yukina here, but I don't know how it'll turn out. I would like her (and Kurama) to arrive at the end of the fic and go, you know what, things are decent but not that great and maybe it is time to shake things up.
