I know its been forever, but real life has reared its crazy little head. I did finally manage to complete a chapter, fighting the existential dread of “I'm not sure I know what happens next.” Anyway, I dont think this one turned out half bad, and hopefully you agree. As they step out into the street, Tazuki grabs his hand. Mitsuhide looks down at her, a confused frown on his face. She gives him a sly smirk in response. It makes his heart squeeze; he is going to need to find a good distraction if she keeps up with this behavior.
He watches the people passing them in the street, noticing the looks they throw in their direction. She seems perfectly natural at this, and he can't help but tease her.
“My dear, do you enjoy drawing the eye of all the townsfolk?”
“Afraid of a little attention, Mitsuhide?” She shoots him a kitsune grin and he realizes the obvious: that it takes a kitsune to catch one.
