technology these days needs more bells and bobs and knobs and levers and gauges like in the past
i miss the days of playing with my parents' stereo and messing with all the eq switches and radio tuner thingamabobs when playing pretend supervillian who was activating the doomsday device*. kids these days don't have that sort of enrichment. * i was also obsessed with the "honey i shrunk the ___" movies and frequently thought that if i hit the right switches on the stereo it would turn into a shrink ray. alternatively the stereo could also create Flubber from the 1997 hit movie Flubber starring Robin Williams.
