Thing A Day 364
Messing around with the line mirror tool yesterday, I figured I’d try drawing Undertale’s Muffet from memory. Pretty sure the outfit is completely wrong, but let’s blame... I don’t know... headcanon? Yeah, let’s go with that.

2016
See that right there? I thought that was the best thing I had ever done back in January of 2011. I thought it was bright, and colorful, and unique, and all sorts of other adjectives. It was the pinnacle of everything I’d learned up until that point, and I was proud of it.
See that right there? I thought that was the best thing I had ever done back in November of 2015. I thought it was bright, and colorful, and unique, and all sorts of other adjectives. It was the pinnacle of everything I’d learned up until that point, and I was proud of it.
Today is December 31st, 2015. Thing A Day a few days into January 1st, 2011, with a goal of drawing every single day of the year and uploading whatever I worked on the next day. That comes out to 1,825 consecutive days of drawing, give or take a leap year in there.
Both of these are great pieces of art that show culminated skill. Using my own art is more than a little self-indulgent for the purposes of feel-good messages, but humans are very good at improving and adaptation. There’s more ways than ever to flex your creative muscle - if you want to write, make music, draw, paint, whatever, there’s very little stopping you these days except for yourself. If you want to draw? You can draw. So few are born with the natural talent to instantly make something that everyone loves, and it’s so easy to look at others and simply give up. For nearly all of us, myself included, it takes time. Effort. Dedication. But you can do it. And it is never - never - too late to start. With a bit of grace and luck, 2016 is going to add 366 more consecutive days of improvement. See you next year.
Thing A Day 355
I still have no idea what I’m doing.
Thing A Day 348
Mission... complete!
I overdid it on the proportions again, but I’m pretty happy with the results.
To be frank I Googled “metal slug handgun” and based her weapon off of one of the results, so take that one as you will.
Thing A Day 347
Flame (or Rose, depending on which version you’re playing) from Undercover Cops, a game by Irem with a highly inappropriate name considering it’s a side-scrolling brawler that at no point features undercover cops.
Anyways, just a really chill sketch from yesterday.
Thing A Day 346
Eri, from the Metal Slug series.
