Soooooooo yeah. I did it again. An FC, this time for The Amazing Digital Circus :,D

Their digital avatar is inspired both by those little vinyl aliens you could buy out of a quarter machine as well as my affinity for the paranormal and Invader Zim. Like some of the other character designs, Miz's design borrows from an existing IP. Their clothing palette takes from the Irken Invader Uniform and they use a cinch bag that mimics the shape of the PAK, but it's yellow rather than silver. Their name is also a reference in that it's 'Zim', backward. It's not only a reference to one of my favorite shows of all time, it's also a stylized spelling of 'Miss'. Like the other humans in the circus, Miz has baggage that plays into their avatar's appearance. Being neurodivergent, they've always felt 'alienated' and all throughout their life, they have struggled with creating and maintaining relationships of all kinds. They're a loner and often feel at their best and really 'shine' when alone. This characteristic is represented by how they glow in the dark. Miz is roughly the same height as Pomni. Their bedroom features dark wallpaper that seems to absorb all visible light and is covered in glow-in-the-dark stars. On various surfaces spread out around the room, there are a variety of types of lighting. This lighting includes lava lamps, plasma lamps, bubble lamps, fiber optic lamps, and various sorts of colored, neon, and glowing lights as well as wall-mounted black lights which, together, provide all of the light available in the room. The carpet resembles that of Roller Rink carpeting. The furniture in their room is comprised largely of brightly colored blow-up chairs, a beanbag chair, and a bed in the shape of a UFO complete with a round mattress and lights. There are also various tropical-looking plants, a small water fountain, and UV reactive shelving covered in multiple knick-knacks.

Miz tends to be shy and withdrawn initially and their lack of self-confidence tends to take much longer to fade away. They often hang on the edges of groups nearby whoever they know the best. Once they've become comfortable in an environment or group, they are silly, more expressive, and a little squirrely. They tend to be forgetful and panic when under pressure or faced with an unexpected obstacle. When highly anxious, excited or angry, they will stumble over their words, stutter and forget words resulting in them sounding as though they're speaking in an alien dialect at times.

They usually try to phrase things as diplomatically as they can, but when angered, frustrated, or fed up to a high degree, they can suddenly become very blunt and a bit insensitive.

At times, jokes will go over their head as well as some expressions, sarcasm, or vague references. On the flip side, depending on how they're doing mentally and emotionally, they can be quick-witted and can approach problems from a creative standpoint.

Miz is usually quiet, agreeable, and quick to prove their utility but they usually prefer isolation to indulge in their solo hobbies such as art, reading, or crafting. Miz does not like to be touched, especially unexpectedly. They will make exceptions depending on the person and circumstances, however. They are generally socially anxious, awkward, easily distracted, and daydreaming.
