there weren’t many good reasons she could think of as to why Tamsin asked to talk to her after dinner. if the head girl asks to speak with you privately, either something has gone wrong, you’re in trouble, or you deserve some kind of reward you hadn’t the slightest idea about. Christa figured the last two of the three were very unlikely, but that didn’t make her any less nervous. did she need to cover for someone tonight? now that she thought of it, she hadn’t been doing very many rounds at night. maybe someone got sick last minute. she glanced over her shoulder just as Tamsin entered. well, here goes nothing, right? “you wanted to see me?”
