The Goddess Sleeps

For countless nights I have worshipped her. Countless times I have prayed to her. She has gone by many names: Inanna, Ishtar, Nyx. Countless times I have evoked her names and my loyalty has been rewarded.

I have found myself blessed with the presence of a woman that is so wonderful and beautiful that I call her my goddess and I am her knight.

My goddess has fallen into a deep sleep while and I find my armor rusted, my sword dulled. When darkness welled up inside I was unable to properly fight it back. The struggle lasted days, but I was victorious and while my own devices were in disarray it was my goddess' love that acted as my shield, my loyalty was my sword.

Now my sword is vorpal and my armor shines like the sun as I wait devoutly for my goddess to wake from her slumber.

There really isn't any way that I will know if you read this, but I need to say these words anyway.

I spoke to a mutual friend tonight before work and was informed that you've been spending a lot of time consoling a friend who really needs you. In addition to that you've had work stresses that are bothering you. Needless to say I feel like a selfish jerk for the way I've been acting. My own insecurities led me to believe that I had caused you some slight. I know now for certain that it's not about me and I hope that you can forgive me for being so selfish as to think it was.

While I was over burdened by my insecurities I failed to recognize the hundreds of things you said that reassured me of where I stand in your heart I remember them all now and won't ever let myself slip again.

That said I want you to take as much time as you need to handle what you have to. Just know that I want to help in any way I can and I would be humbled if you would be willing to tell me what's been going on. Also, should you come to speak with me about these things I will not make it about me or about us. That is my promise to you.

Night Air

Many people look up at the sky thinking that it's so far away without realizing that it reaches all the way to the ground. For the longest time I've said that I walk in the sky.

Last night after we talked I went to outside was met by a cool breeze that invigorated me. Nyx was reminding me that this air is part of the same sky that you walk in and in this way we are always together

I asked the Sylphs to make a delivery as I kissed the night air. I hope you get it.
