a poem about digging potatos:
in the field i kneel digging digging digging claw through the bugs and dirt
snag a lil tater
and then
oh, the horror- a seed potato slimy gunky cold all over my fingers
oh! sensory hell!
to my best friend i plead, "kill me," with utmost sincerity, "take that potato fork and stab it through my neck."
he scoffs and does not oblige my request i live to be seed potato'd again.
