its kind of funny that people are still drawing friend with the tail of hell even though thats less likely than ever. its like everyone forgot that it ever wasnt a feature of the character
ok laying out my current secret boss quest predictions
eram is the strange someone. it just makes sense. it would simply be narratively satisfying for the strange someone, the connecting thread between almost all of the secret bosses, to be someone you've already been introduced to as a part of this quest.
eram will be the final foe we face in the secret boss quest. whichever chapter we enter the shelter, that's where we'll meet it.
it generally seems to prefer pulling strings to get what it wants rather than getting its own hands dirty. it has a pack of cats that hunt on its behalf. it controls a game character to fight you, rather than doing it itself.
so i definitely think it's likely it will control someone else to fight you, rather than fighting you itself. but there's multiple good candidates for this, i'm not sure who it will be!
the cats, who it already has been established to have control over.
ramb, who is deeply involved in the eram quest in chapter 3, who mysteriously disappears, and who is a plugboy, which are known for getting their bodies taken over.
and the vessel, who exists to be controlled by some kind of host.
it could end up being some kind of boss-rush type deal, but making three whole superbosses seems like a lot of effort.
a pack of cats hunting you down reminds me of the scratching that UNUSED sometimes hears. like they're being hunted even there

it seems like everyone who thought friend was important is like "HAHAHA YES" and everyone who thought friend wasnt important is also like "HAHAHA YES". win for everyone i guess?
i should stop thinking about this dialogue its making me scared and paranoid. BUT IM SO INTRIGUED. FUCK
