I feel like there could be so much potential angst in Polytrix if writers and artists addressed the fact that South Korea isn't a great place for LGBT. It is improving but still isn't great.

That's true - even more so when you consider this is a poly ship, and there's stigma against it as a general rule of thumb. Plus I've seen that some real kpop singers get attacked for daring to get into a relationship with someone - I think at least one has broken up due to the backlash.

I think I've seen a few fics which at least allude to rl problems like that, but maybe others will get inspired too with your angst idea.

Though at the same time I think people try to find safe spaces where the world is a little less shitty through fic, so maybe it's by design!
