Regarding the scene in Season 8 where Harvey calls Mike and gets sent to voicemail—

Mike had given him this doll a long time ago. Harvey pressed it once back then, thought it was childish, and tossed it aside. But in Season 8, he rummaged through his things to find the doll again. Sitting alone in his empty living room, he listened to the playful "I love you" recording Mike had left as a joke long ago. He kept pressing it, over and over, pressing until the battery died. He didn’t speak, showed no expression, shed no tears—just sat on the sofa, pressing it again and again.
