So here we are...just over a week away from the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb! We are not yet sure what to name her...perhaps provide us with some suggestions in the comments, but it's been a long road to have this car developed, built and completed! Our 2018 exploration visit to Pikes Peak Hill Climb taught us a lot of what is needed to be competitive, and after examining the potential of several automotive platforms, we finally decided on the Nissan R35 GT-R. Due to our over commitment in finalizing the development of our Porsche, a team decision was made to search for a capable supplier, who already had experience with this vehicle platform. Scribante Racing spec'd and built the car in collaboration with @dodsonmotorsport, who already had a well developed and balanced chassis design and overall drag package, which we could use as a baseline for Hill Climb application. Thank you to the boys out in Auckland, New Zealand for all their time and effort spent on this project! The car arrived late, which only left us with 3 weeks before the event. A lot of work still needed to be completed, and more so to be re-engineered and added. We were proactive in reaching out to Dr. Sammy Diasinos from #dynamicaerosolutions (DAS) to assist us in designing a preliminary 2019 aero design. We did not have much time available to work with our local composite supplier, and therefore needed to be creative in using some of our Porsche aero components.
