Excellent question! Actually, I've been waiting for one of you to ask!

It started when all those heritage blogs popped up. Ya know, when Eggman had Metal Sonic kill a bunch of people and Sonic went Dark Sonic?

I was one of the heritage blogs that was killed. Same url and everything. I managed to "respawn" a few short hours later.

However, that is where the story of where I am blue instead of a yellow orange comes in.

See, I started as a normal Tails. About as cookie-cutter as they come. When I died, I was not corporal. I drifted for a while, unsure of who I was or what was to come.

That's when we met. Me, Tails, and a being named Yokai. They looked almost the same as me.

Except they were blue.

Yokai and I had a chat. We had all the time in the world. Where to normal people it was only a few hours, for me it was.... well, I don't really know. I lost track.

During our chat, Yokai had said along the lines of that I was "important" and "crucial to the universe". Therefore, I could not die just yet.

However, I could not simply return to my former body, of which at this point was a pile of ash. So, we struck a deal. Yokai would let me use their body, in turn, I would help them with [REDACTED].

So... that is the reason I am blue.

Something flickers in the distance. It walks toward Tails, who is on his computer updating this blog and talking to the other universes about the creeping feeling he was being watched....

The figure gets closer and closer to Tails. It looks like.... Sonic? But no, not Sonic. Something's wrong. He doesn't look right.
