 “I spy a little bird.” Came a low humming purr.

The ancient elder sat before the young hero, perched within an ominously lit dark office. Dabi had told him of their new canary but to meet him in the flesh was something quite late. Now however was the perfect time to see just what he was made of or...to clip a few wings~

 With a low chuckle he stood and slowly began to step down to meet their newest informant, tailored shoes clicking the ground with each step. 

“So. You’re the one my favorite hot head won’t stop insisting I have a meet with hmm? The Hero…Hawks was it?” The dark one mused casually, the click of his heals against the stone steps echoing dangerously more and more as the taller shadowy form lingered closer, predating like a wolf did it’s prey.

“Whatever is a bright young man like yourself doing lurking about in the shadows with men like us hmm~”

“Done playing hero and wish to rebel or…is there something more to it my boy…”

       “Who’s there...?” She murmured quietly up to the tall figure in the darkness. For all she could make up of this shadow man who lingered nearby, she could see teal orb lingering back on her. They felt so familiar...like she’d seen them before. For some odd reason  they-...they made her feel sad where fear should have been.

Rei Todoroki had ventured away from her hospital for the night, though she was sure it wasn’t safe and she had no doubts the entire hospital was in a panic over her vanishing, she couldn’t find it in herself to truly care as she sat alone on a bench, staring blankly at the vacant playground before her.

Today was...it had been his birthday today. So of course she found herself going back to the playground she use to take him. Her darling beautiful son...

“Tell me young man, do you know this place too?” The snowy haired woman asked, hearing the ghostly echos of children as they once did, like he did when he use to run past her, though she knew full well it was only her and the stranger who loomed nearby to be the only pair here now.

“This place always had so many memories for me. Does it for you..?”

Here she was, spinning his feather between her fingers while she looked up at the ceiling. “Hopefully this doesn’t make you dizzy...” While she couldn’t exactly ‘feel’ her crystals, when they were levitating she had to focus on where they were and if someone else touched them it would be disorienting. “You’re probably so far you can’t even sense this thing. I know I wouldn’t be able to, but you’re a pro so who knows.” 

“I wonder if you’ve given your feathers to other people? How would you keep track of who is who?” She felt like she’d be just a bit jealous if there were others. “Probably just trying to keep them safe though. Still I can’t help but hope there’s more to it. It’s hard to tell if you’re just being a hero to me too.”

“That’s not what you are to me though, but only this feather gets to know that. I could never tell you straight up like this.” She let the feather rest against her chest. Her heart already beating faster from her own words. “Even though I’m just talking to myself I can’t control myself when it comes to you. That means my quirk can’t be controlled forever either. So I’m just hopeless, but I’ve always been like that so it’s not your fault. At least I can sort of tell you directly at least once. No response is better than rejection or hurting you.”

What an absolute nightmare. She doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry right now. If it wasn’t enough all ready for him to be a thorn to her side, she has to fill in all these reports about his activities to the Inspector.

So much goddamn paperwork…

He has such a massive file already. It’s to the point where Setsuka and her fellow officers have to make two records of his criminal activities. It’s annoying. The next time she sees him, she’s going to give him a piece of her mind!

“Ummm, Detective Fujisaki?” A fellow officer called out.

“Yes, what is it?”

“He’s at it again….”

“…”

Speak of the devil! Immediately furrowing her eyebrows, Setsuka lets out an exasperated sigh and grabs her car keys.

“Send the coordinates to my GPS, please,” Setsuka instructed.

This time she will put him behind bars, no matter what flirty advances he throws in her direction. Setsuka will successfully capture Dabi!

  “Oh joy.”

 Tokage could already feel the storming migraine in his head. “Hello Hawks. Hope you had a nice fly…”  He grumbled, ignoring the blaring horns of all the cars that had been  turned on with the young Pro’s dramatic entrance moment ago outside the station.

It was gonna be one of those days.
